After attending the Open House in early Spring, I was excited to pursue working with this company. I was referred to a pleasant young man who "covers my area" to proceed. I requested an estimate for 3 models, all BASE with zero changes. I was told I could only get one estimate at a time, so I chose one. More than 5 WEEKS later and multiple inquiries I had to ask again for the estimate. I was finally given an estimate for one model. This time delay was a huge problem, especially in this market trying to line things up for a lateSummer/Fall build. Imagine waiting 10 more weeks to compare the pricing for other models an/or make changes. A deal breaker for sure!! When inquiring at other modualr companies I was able to get estimates in a few days time and still cannot imagine what would take so long, for a BASE MODEL ESTIMATE? Super disappointed.

Had a representative of this company JBEW HOMES JERED SMITH OUT OF BENNINGTON. THIS GUY RIPPED US OFF AND NEVER SUBMITTED OUR DOWN-PAYMENT AND LIED COUNTLESS TIMES TO OUR FACE ABOUT WHEN THE HOUSE WOULD BE THERE, THEN 1 MONTH FROM HOUSE DROP AND JERED SMITH JEBW HOMES GAVE US OUR DEPOSIT BACK. BILL LAKE BASICALLY SAID NOT THERE PROBLEM! WORST EXPERIENCE AND HAS MADE OUR LIFE HELL FROM DAY ONE.... AVOID AT ALL COST.

Took a tour of the.factory and a couple of model homes. Homes were being built while the tour was conducted, so we know exactly what's underneath the floors and siding. Jason was a great tour guide!

Communication between builder and myself was very poor. Instead of 10% overage on some sight materials I was 10% short on plywood for the roof, hardwood flooring, roofing shingles and siding. In an effort to keep the build moving forward I had to order the shortages and was never reimbursed. I’m not kidding! So then I opted to use Bill Lake’s set up crew to assemble the house. The plans called for gable returns that didn’t happen when putting the roof on. I’ve never seen such cheap door knobs and light fixtures. Brass plated that tarnished in months. I was never given an option on the quality. I certainly would have paid extra than to have wasted money on something that was going to have to be replace in less than a year. 12 doors in the house, not including exterior doors, and everyone of them had major issues. Wether it was the door misaligned in the jab or the strikers were either not aligned or they never cut out the hole in the jamb for the sticker. By the way my wife was nearly killed when the 3’X5’ mirror in the master bath fell off the wall and shattered onto the double sink. Imagine my rage. I swear on everything I love in life this is the truth and I’ve harbored a grudge with this company for years as I live in my home.
