Yes. If you are a new patient, they will want to evaluate your knee which would include x-rays. Then they will discuss your treatment options which may include a gel injection. Insurance only allows one gel injection per knee every 6 months.
Yes, IBJI accepts Medicare. You do not need a referral for Medicare. If you have a Medicare replacement plan (something like BCBS Medicare Advantage, UHC Medicare Complete, etc), it depends if the policy is a PPO or HMO. It would be best to call the office and give your insurance information. The Patient Servive Representatives can help you with this.
No. But the MRIs that they have are very large. Closed MRIs have much better quality images than open MRIs and are recommended.

There is an injection for the knee to try before surgery (gel one or synvisc one) if your physician thinks it will be beneficial to you. Insurance does have to approve these types of injections before administering. Please contact our office for additional information, (630) 323-6116. Thank you for contacting Hinsdale Orthopaedics.
This is an option that would need to be discussed with the surgeon. Can be dependent on the type of surgery and insurance. Please contact our office for further information (630) 323-6116. Thank you for contacting Hinsdale Orthopaedics.
We accept certain Medicaid management plans, please contact the office to see if yours is one of them. (630) 323-6116. Thank you for contacting Hinsdale Orthopaedics.
Yes. You would need to call the office to schedule an appointment to discuss stem cell therapy.
Not necessarily. How high is the BMI? High BMI and a smoker? Best to have an evaluation with one of our MD’s.
