Questions & Answers

Do they give gel shots for your knee?

Ph Eakin | Oct 26, 2018
Elizabeth D'Elia | Oct 26, 2018

Yes. If you are a new patient, they will want to evaluate your knee which would include x-rays. Then they will discuss your treatment options which may include a gel injection. Insurance only allows one gel injection per knee every 6 months.

Do you accept Medicare? Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

Pamela Ramos | Aug 26, 2022
Elizabeth D'Elia | Aug 26, 2022

Yes, IBJI accepts Medicare. You do not need a referral for Medicare. If you have a Medicare replacement plan (something like BCBS Medicare Advantage, UHC Medicare Complete, etc), it depends if the policy is a PPO or HMO. It would be best to call the office and give your insurance information. The Patient Servive Representatives can help you with this.
