It’s a nicely maintained zoo, staff is friendly, and we knew going in (it was 90 degrees) that most animals would not be active. That said, don’t forget a water bottle or three (though you can get a refillable bottle for $5; not bad). Some misting fans around some rest areas would be appropriate, but are sadly missing. The giraffe-feeding experience is always enjoyable (3 leaves for $5). Looked forward to the alligator feeding and primate boat ride, but we just missed both exploring the rest of the zoo. If you need some good exercise and a typical hot-day zoo experience, give it a whirl. We were on vacation, but if we come back, we probably will find something else to do.

Such an amazing zoo! The staff was very friendly and the environment was quiet and enjoyable. The foliage is so fascinating since it was previously a botanical garden. You’ll see a lot of huge tropical trees and unique plants. It feels like you’re walking through a jungle. The animal exhibits are big and the animals are comfy and clearly treated well and with respect. I highly recommend

So fun! Awesome place to go with family and they have lots of attractions! Go on a slightly cooler day since the animals mostly all have fur and will kind of just sit around. I recommend the honey badger exhibit! They move around a ton and are fun to watch!

The Naples Zoo is beautiful! It’s perfect for little ones because it’s not very large so you can get through it pretty quickly or take your time and circle a couple times checking out the animals. The giraffes were probably the highlight for us because you can feed the giraffes if you wish to pay extra and get a picture taken. The Lions were also spectacular and the cheetahs. My little guy was too young for the boat ride but that’s a really nice option to take a boat ride around to see the monkeys swinging from the trees. Definitely visit if you have an hour or two to spare while visiting Naples!

No
Yes, I've answered this in other questions & even a detailed review of the zoo, check it out & give it a "thumbs up"! Thanks!
Probably
Unfortunately the sheriff wasn’t able to find a stung gun so as his deputy he unfortunately had shoot and kill Eko
As far as I saw, there were no wheel chair rentals in the zoo but it is definitely wheel chair friendly if you are able to bring your own. You can also call them directly and find out as well.
It's free for Collier county residents, $5 for other Florida residents.
I completely agree with you that tiger would not be dead if that stupid 20-year-old boy did not put himself in harm's Way now because of his stupid actions that poor ENDANGERED tiger is dead
If the 14th and 15th is free
Masks are required in the gift shop, on the boat ride, in the theater and when feeding the giraffes. They are recommended but not required when walking around and looking at the animals
For children it is $ 14.95 and for adults it is $ 22.95
The zoo is fine for small children to walk. Half way around the main loop is a boat that takes you on the lake to see lemurs monkeys and gibbons. This gets them off their feet for a bit.
Yes they do veterans also and first responders with i.d
I do not know the answer to your question. I would call them and ask.
No but we did both the giraffe feeding and the camel ride as well as the monkey boat and it was all wonderful. The kids loved it
I gave it 4 of 5 on Trip advisor. Really depends on age of visitors and previous experience with zoos. Privately run so more pricey than some. Interesting variety, good sight lines and good learning opportunities
There is a Florida panther, fosa, black bear, kangaroo, elk, coyote, lions, tiger, apes, giraffes, and there was a special exibit of penguins April 2018.
They do have a plan to protect the animals, they have enclosures
You should be able to volunteer at any age over 21 goto their website and apply most zoos and aquariums need volunteers to help run them
I believe the tiger was part of an endangered species protection program. The person who got bit went into a restricted area, and a police officer shot the tiger. Let's give this story some time to develop before we go slinging accusations and pointing fingers at people who are doing a lot to help wildlife conservation and protection.
The zoo staff didn't kill the tiger the sheriff's depth did.
Seniors after 3:00 pm get 10% discount. They do have a military discount also.
Yes rental chairs available
Yes, veterans pay $17.95 according to the zoo website.
If you're a resident of Collier county they have a couple free days a month.. You have to go on their website and make a reservation..
You can buy your ticket when you get there. You go into the building that has the guest passes/gift shop and you buy your tickets in there.
You can rent wheelchairs at the front but they are not powered scooters.
The zoo has ample handicap parking available...the walkways are basically flat and paved...all attractions and exhibits are easily accessed...bathrooms are handicap equiped..there are wheelchair rentals available at a minimal cost...the entry way through the ticket building has manual doors...but Im pretty sure entry and exit can be made outside the building upon request...hope this helps
Yes, Naples Zoo is open on January 1, 2021 with regular hours of 9 am - 4:30 pm with the last entry at 3:30 pm.
Hi Nancy, are you asking if we changed our mailing address? Or are you a member who needs to change your mailing address with us?
There was no warning note or anything, but I think it would be better to ask at the entrance
I recommend to call the Zoo facility directly to have this answer
Yes: 9am to 4:30pm. Last entry at 3:30

We walked slowly to look at the exhibits and it took 90 minutes.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act's requirements on service animals, fully trained service dogs are welcome. It is our intent for all guests to safely enjoy the zoo's experiences while being responsible stewards of the rare animals in our care including rules set by the USDA Animal Welfare Act. Because of this, we have some considerations where the presence of a service dog poses a safety threat to our staff or the animals. We recognize that these guide dogs are highly trained and reliable. These considerations are based on the exotic animals' reactions, not the guide dog's actions or responses.
Most zoos offer reciprocaol discounts.
They do have strollers and wheelchairs. Not sure what the rental rules are. I'm sure if you called someone could tell you.

No. Only coyotes. Check out Shy Wolf Sanctuary here in Naples for wolves.
They had a traveling exhibit this past winter. They have gone home. So no not at this time.
No flamingos here. They d9 have some sort of bird exhibit. All the animals here pace back and forth and look sad 😕
21.95 adults, 12.95 children 3 to 12. Veterans get discounts too
Some of the animals do enjoy the rain while others prefer to hide inside. Last time it rained the hyena was much more active, Athena the florida panther enjoyed the light rain, the honey badger enjoyed it for a while and many of the monkeys and lemurs seem to enjoy it. The gators of course dont care and continue to do what they do. Until it starts getting heavy, most animals enjoy the cooler weather the rain brings. If it does start to become a heavy storm with lightning however the zoo will close for safety reasons.
Hi Samantha, everyone was pretty spot on with their answers. The Zoo doesn't have any new babies right now, however, there are several breeding programs in planning for the Species Survival Plan. Athena, the newest Fl panther is still considered a kitten but she will be 1 next month! She's super cute!! Thanks for your interest in Naples Zoo!
Don't listen to the local yo-yo's. Look at your website they're open and on Saturday it's free for Collier County residents.
For future reference, I would advise not to use Google or social media for questions that you'll directly want to speak to a real person about; especially, if you're looking for a prompt response. You should give them a call.
Residents can purchase tickets at a discount and are also able to get a membership which pays for itself if you visit the zoo more than twice.
No, but the zoo is small enough that you shouldn't need to bring enough items that warrant use of a locker as a base camp.
No
$22.95 per person, $21.95 for seniors, kids 2 under free
At least 1 hour and if you have a toddler take a stroller
I believe they encourage walking, unless you're physically challenged & necessitate a motorized mobility device, but do call & ask about the bike/mini scooter. I'm pretty sure skateboarding is a Def NO. You're around protected animals & wild enclosed Predators... I'm gonna say no on principle
Today yes and it costs around 20 to 25 dollars ...
A tortoise and a sea turtle to be exact. Usually 12-18 bucks depending on size.
