Beautiful but a huge amount of ticks everywhere

Wonderful little spot for day use. The water is clean (except for some seaweed). Theres picnic tables around the water, and garbage cans around for trash. Theres also 2 campgrounds in the area for reasonable pricing, about $15 a night. Nice little fishing spot, with boat ramp for those who need it

Beautiful! The road in was narrow and sandy the closer I got to the day use area but it was easily navigable in a van. It could get tricky meeting traffic from the opposite direction - not much available in the way of pull offs. That said, it's sure worth the drive. Nice trails to hike and beautiful, scenic views of the river. This is a great central FL destination to get out and enjoy nature.

If you want good bass fishing try lake panasoffkee their hit like crazy. Iron bridge is a great catfishing hole
No toilets or water , just a very good place to fish n have a picnic.
