Seriously....go there before 10:00am. Get a number go have lunch and they'll text you when your number is about a half hour away. Return to DPS wait for number to be called. They'll text you too...again. Talk to agent. They'll tell you exactly how and what you need. Take your birth certificate, 2 pieces of mail, and your soc card. It may just be a.paperwork deal and you'll be ahead of the game and ready to get it done. Now if you committed a driving crime...dying etc there may be more you'll have to do. It depends on the state you're coming from. Class D license in Oklahoma allows you to drive a single vehicle or combination of vehciles under 26000 lbs GVWR. This is the common driver license for regular folks in 'regular' cars. Usually if you need a different class of license it is pretty obvious, like driving a big dump truck, semi, or hauling passengers, etc.

You can't make appointments to reinstate your license. It's done by walk in only. Get there as early as you can and you can get in. I went at lunch and moved through the line quickly.

I'm guessing that if your last driver's license did not have your social security number on it then it would be the last number that you were issued when you first got your driver's license in Oklahoma. I hope this will be a starting point for you. 17 years no license you might have to start all over taking the written test then the driver's test and then you get your license.....
