We were surprised how nice this property is. Great experience with nice exhibits, and walking the grounds.

Everything about the botanical gardens is very well done. We’ve toured botanical gardens across all of the US and found Greater Des Moines to have a lot of potential. We would have liked to have seen better labeling of the plants.

I visited with my family today. Being very honest, there is nothing much to see at all. Very small botanical garden which we completed in 20 mins. Quite disappointed.

So beautiful. Even my teenager was taking pictures by the dozens

$8 for adult non-members. $5 for non-member children. All members have free admission.
Yes you can sit and study.
There is a photographers fee, plus admission to the Garden. Members of the Garden get a photo session fee waived. Call them if you have questions and help setting it up. It would be a beautiful setting and many options indoors and out of doors.
Different rates. For adults, it is $10 if you are not a member.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed, with the exception of bottled water and baby bottles. Food and drink can be purchased at Trellis Café or the Garden Shop.
$9 dollars
I believe it is about 12$ for adults and 5$ for children. This place has the most beautiful scenery in the spring and summer, and the fall. The flowers are beautiful. They have a butterfly sanctuary too I think.
It was very comfortable in the a.m. I would caution the afternoon in the dome as it was the last place we went and should have been the 1st as heat was unbearable by 2pm
I didn't see scooters for rent here
Hi Veronica! There are quite a few...too many to list here. If you head over to our website dmbotanicalgarden.com/membership, you'll find a link to a pdf you can print and keep with you on road trips! There is also a link to a website there that lists all reciprocal membership benefits. Enjoy exploring the gardens!
Hello! Thanks for your question. We do not currently sell Zinnia seeds in the Garden Shop.

When i went the inside was closed. You can do outside only and mask is not really required is up to you if you want to wear it since is outside.
I saw a push chair out front
The out door gardens should be spectacular and fully mature. The inside is more tropical and keeps pretty constant year round. The orchids inside are awesome. It's just a beautiful place to visit.
An adult ticket is $10, youth (4-17) is $7, and children 3 and under are free. Here's the link to the website https://www.dmbotanicalgarden.com/visit/hours-admission/
Des Moines has a photography club on Facebook. So, I guess I would check social media for sculpture clubs. That could lead you to the right direction. I hope this helped.(?)
Only service dogs
It is quite large and as long as it is not busy, an RV could readily fit
Its very nice! Its a good way to escape the cold and enjoy some greenery to combat the winter blues.
