Amazing River front park. Tree lined walking path. Best place for watching squirrels πΏ Lots of shade and green grass to relax. Benches galore to sit and people watch. Very clean with lots of trash cans. Faucets turn on to fill you doggy bowl. Entrance has poop bag dispenser if you forget to bring your own. Posting this July 2022. There is construction at the statue area till fall. Unfortunately no human restrooms. Lots of nearby businesses to go explore

Nice, small and cozy park with the river view. Enjoyed watching the dolphins playing and hunting fish in the water near the shore line.

Beautiful park so relaxing great fishing spot. Perfect for a nice picnic. Great place to go walking or on a nice jog.

I will always love this park. My wife and I have so many years of memories here. I think I took my final photos of this park after hurricane Irma. I used this park for so many photo sessions, important conversations, and meeting up with friends. Itβs a beautiful punctuation to the many iterations of Riversideβs five points.

Yes it is
Need permit. No electricity. Park is poorly maintained.
Absolutely bring a picnic. My grandchildren and I have done this many times but we kinda cheated. We didn't put any food in our basket...went to Publix across the street and bought fried chicken, sushi, iced tea, potato salad, chips and cookies for dessert. Then we filled the basket, walked across the street and pigged out. If we had leftovers, we gave them away to anyone who wanted them. Win/win!
Four laps, equals one mile.
Google Memorial Park Jacksonville and go to the Contact Us page on their website and they tell you how to reserve it. They actually go through the City of Jacksonville.
Yes they are contact 904630City. You will need a park permit. Congratulations π on your big day. May God bless you both.
Park rules used to say no bikes, but rules posted by the city do not mention bikes. Confusing and not really a great park for bikes. I would consider Baldwin trail instead.
Yes you should check out treaty Oak Park on Prudential Drive as well
It was opened on Christmas Day, 1924. You can read more about the history at www.memparkjax.org.
That I don't know offhand. I would recommend you to go to their website and find out. And they should have a list of all the events that's going to go on for the remainder of this year and if you're wondering about entry or competing or anyting my best recommendation is just to contact them. Happy presenting
I don't know I didn't bother to look at the flyer or the ad that they was giving out last month go to Google and it will tell you who's coming to the park each month happy listening
No. Also this probably isn't the best park for a birthday party. There's no place for groups to sit aside from the ground and no pavilion or anything.
Yes. I've seen people fishing in the river while I was playing Pokemon go with my kids. You can fish there.
Contact the city of Jacksonville parks and rec department.
I imagine you can if there's not thousands of people drinking and partying and dealing drugs
Moncrief cemetery is so old and outdated it hasn't been open for over 15 years, maybe longer. Try going to city hall, and asking for they're records. It will prob cost u though. Then u can find out where they're plot stones r. Those ppl deserve a better final resting place. It looks like ur standing in a forest now. Its a shame really. .. And ur question is about moncrief cemetery, not memorial park. 2 totally different places. And not even close to each other.
Depends on the wedding. It's an open park without any amenities besides a few benches and trash cans. If you're going for a low key event and don't mind having strangers around, it's fine. If you're not super concerned about being near the River, I'd suggest looking at Native Park at Park St and Belvedere Ave. It's smaller, but usually has less people and I think the garden design is nicer.
