Great campground, clean toilets and very serene surroundings. Thankfully this campground now has reservations. The only downside to this is that for the walk insights there is only one parking that is allocated, for a site that can cause a maximum of eight people ideally you want to have more place to park. The drive in sites are very spacious and can park multiple vehicles. There is a general store that has a host of souvenirs, and camping essentials. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The campgrounds have wooden tables and a fire pit. Beware most of these tables are not level. The walk down to the walk in the water sites is very steep, take note of this especially if you have older folks. You will see lots of fish jumping, deer and ducks. A beautiful Camp spot. Enjoy

We've stayed at this campground in September and loved it. We had to stop by on our way to Forks and check out the Lake. It's beautiful, even when it was raining on Wednesday!

What a wonderful campground. Well maintained. The restroom is very clean but don’t forget to pack your own soap since it is not available. The campsites vary a lot in terms of size. We stayed at site C59 which is huge comparing to other sites. It can easily park two cars and still have rooms for multiple tents. It also provides good privacy because it is quite far from the neighboring sites. We arrived on Friday in late April before reservation is open, so it is first come first serve but it is barely occupied even on Saturday night.

Very quite, peaceful, surrounded by moss laden trees. First come first serve for now but changing to reservations for 2022 per camp host. Some sites are close together some more secluded. Restrooms clean and well lighted.

Well in the end they said the campers just failed to pay their site fee and will be fined for being late. At other camp grounds they actually enforce it and remove the peoples items if they havnt paid. It is completely logistically possible. Oh john didnt pay? Kick him out and give the person who has paid a spot.
They have a fire ban currently ☹️ and doesn't look like it will be lifted anytime soon.
I was there a few days ago and it was first come first serve
I would say site B is pretty private. But on A and C, all the sites are pretty close to each other.
They do not sell firewood at the site itself, Fairholme store is half a mile up the road, they may carry firewood but it is currently closed.
You could put two or three tents up at most sites, the official limit is two vehicles
No
Yes there is a dock on crescent lake close to the campground. You should be able to find out the launch dock markers when you enter the campground.
Yes. We were able to get space at noon on Saturday. There are lots of spaces and you will definitely be able to find something after a bit of searching. Good luck!
1st come 1st serve. And not many sites available. We showed up at like 8am on a Thursday or Friday and we gotnone of the last spots
Yes, dogs are allowed. Please be sure to pick up after them.
Ya its really cold but very beautiful view from the boat access. The fairholme general store is currently closed but it will open up on memorial day and will close for the season on labor day.
There are plenty of sites that are quite large that and RV wouldn't fit appropriately but has plenty of room for multiple tents. As a courtesy would be nice of the sites with the longer driveway wouldn't be take by tents unless they are the last sites available. At the top of each loop there are large tents sites and private that cant accommodate a RV
It's all about what day you show up. If you arrive in Friday, I doubt it. Show up Wednesday or before 9am Thursday
We were there Sunday night. We arrived around 6 which was way later than we had originally planned. We were fortunately surprised to see quite a number of sites still open at that hour.
Go to the site first. There have been circumstances where someone claimed the physical site while another was signing up for it.
You don't have to be there by 7am. I'm sure getting there early will get you a better spot though. And once you're there, there are three loops you can camp in. Just find the registration board for your loop, pay your fee, and add your slip to the campground site number you intend to stay in. Have fun!
Yes you can. They have a boat dock space u can park.
Yes, the campground is open, but the store is closed (so no onsite kayak rentals). I recommend getting there early as all sites are usually taken by 11am. Also, your chances of getting a spot are way better if you arrive Sunday through Wednesday. By Thursday sites are typically all taken for the weekend.
You want to get there as early as possible
$20 per night. No reservations. First come, first serve.
Site 17 would definitely fit it and a few others. Camp hosts are great and will help you find the right spot
Several C loop sites and yes, most probably
Several spots on lake edge, need to park car in lot and walk maybe 100 feet or so. No vehicle access. Makes it VERY nice
Noon is the perfect arrival time
Saturday is typically very difficult and often full. Friday at or just before check out time is usually a good time to get there. Keep in mind each weekend is different. Sometimes when I've been on Fridays it's difficult no matter the time!
You need to leave a possession in the campsite before you sign up for that number campsite at the bulletin board for each loop to avoid disappointment
Nope, first come first serve.
Both tent and RV sites. No ideas on crowd currently
My phone service was in and out and inconsistent. Along the lake offered better likelihood of service. I have T-mobile.
If you get lucky, there are a couple that could just accommodate that, but again, you'd have to be lucky enough to find one that's available, most are more like 15-20ft friendly, not quite 25ft.
You would have to be extremely lucky, and get there at the crack of dawn and search to see if anyone is leaving that day.
I think it is 8 but it doesn't seem to be enforced
I was there last week and it was busy. I came in on a Sunday and got a spot pretty easy. Each loop has a board you can check to see who's leaving that day. Check out time is 11am. Hope that helps😀
Right now yes. The water is good enough to take a swim without jitters. :) I went for a good swim around mid June and the water was not cold(yet not warm).
There are total of 88sites. Mostly reservable on first come first get basis. Charge is 20$ per site. Campsites usually stay available but good sites get taken quickly.
Im assuming you are saying roughly 6-7 o'clock in the evening. Typically there is still sites available i would say but you are cutting it close if you arrive in the evening, we arrived in the morning and there was almost no one there.
No rv no hookups. Space for small trailers and campers but the spots are small.
They do have parking site for boat trailers near the lake . But trailer will fit also at tent site
