Hey! For first come first serve do I need to find the campsite first and then sign up and pay? Or go to the sign up board first and then go to the campsite??

Go to the site first. There have been circumstances where someone claimed the physical site while another was signing up for it.

Protocol is to leave something at the empty site first and then sign up and pay (many signs say this around campsites in WA). You may want to review the board first to see which sites are currently empty, and those where the people are leaving that day.

Go to your site and leave something on it to claim it, then go sign up. If you sign up first, someone else may have already left stuff there on their way to the board. Whoever lays stuff down on the site first is the one it is supposed to go to.
