All the material about this campground says it's all first come first served, but when I tried to get a campsite last week they were all reserved 😠😠

It's first come first serve but half the grounds are closed, you have little to no chance of getting a site after 5pm on a weekend

First come, first served. We were there for a week in July. You need to get there early and wait for a vacant spot. Each loop has a board and you can see who is going to check out. We stayed at South Beach and it was the same.

It should be first come first served, and then people register which campsite they have chosen to make sure no one takes it after they have already payed for it
