Worst bedside manner I’ve ever experienced. He came in the room, looked at my MRI results and told me I need a spinal fusion which was terrifying and brought me to tears. Then dude took a phone call and left the room. When he came back I said I don’t think I can have surgery just yet. I had questions that were not answered because he was too busy talking into his little microphone stick instead of typing. I’m so grateful he at least referred me to a pain management specialist and PT who maybe can actually help me, which is why he gets two stars and not negative twelve. I suppose once I said no to a spinal fusion he was done with me. He fist bumped me and told me “good luck”.

Bulged disc turned herniated disc that left me in excruciating pain and immobilized for a month. Went to Dr. Dryer and after a very quick discectomy surgery, I was walking. Brutal month but Dr. Dryer eased my worries and I’m now 2 weeks post-op and feeling amazing! Cannot recommend Dr. Dryer & all the staff at Central Texas Spine Institute enough!

Dr. Dryer is the best! I recently had spinal fusion surgery. Before, I was extremely limited in how active I could be. Now, 9 months removed from surgery, I'm healed and training for a Spartan race :). I am now optimistic about the future. Thank you Dr. Dryer!

Dr Dryer is an amazing doctor very good at his practice and extremely knowledgeable. Bed side manor could use work. Although because Dr Dryer is the best he knows that. Had a disk replaced in lower spine was dealing with the injury for a year. And after surgery and pt I am recovering really well.

Questions & Answers

My husband is a disabled vet, does he need a referral from VA?

I'm an Austin Disabled Vet. Lots of VA hoops to jump through from primary care doc referral then to other VA docs referel more referrals then finally Neuro who approved spinal surgery. Which was authorized here. I had 2 spinal fusions and can now stand again and walk. YES, they will, you have to push the appointments at the Austin Va.

Does Dr. DRYER do stem cell?

I don't know about stem cells. He operated on my back 3 times, put in screws, cages, & put in a stimulator. I'm getting better as we speak. He knows, what he's doing. I have degenerative sclerosis of my back. Actually, I take it to the limit by remodeling rental houses & live on my small farm. He maybe, strict or straight to the point, but he wants the best for you & a speedy recovery. I know, he was in the top of his class, & that's what you want. Not a C student, do you! I recommend him. Check him out, it just cost a few dollars to get one of the best & that's what I wanted. Ask if he does the stem cell or will recommend someone. He's one of the best.
