Reached out to Speed Raceway regarding our annual fundraiser. Sean was very prompt in replying and generous with sending tickets. A business that is willing to help out a non-profit is awesome in my book. Their facility includes the raceway, an arcade, axe throwing and a snack bar. They also have party rooms for birthdays. Whoever wins these tickets will have a great time.

Great place. Fast go-karts! It's very busy on the weekends and wait times are LONG (2 to 3 hrs for adults). But this is not the reason I didn't put 5 stars. There is no notification system for the people to know when they are going to race. It would help if the two big monitors on top of reception would show/cycle information with next racers. Text notification's would also work.
Hello Car-Optics
Place is Amazing, Was surprise how big the tracks are, Karts are fast safe and fun, Arcade & Axe throwing too, food is just Pizza Pretzels and snacks

This was an unexpected facility for a Financial Conference/Gathering and it turned out to a truly enjoyable evening. After eating a great meal and meet & greetings with advisors and friends, we were turned loose to enjoy the activities. First we tried the Axe Throwing, I was awarded with actually hitting the wall... LoL. It was really fun and enjoyable. Moving on we went to race the electric GoCarts. We were broken into small groups. Then after watching a safety video, they fitted us with helmets and made sure we were safely strapped into our carts we were off. They kept times on all of us and recorded our best times. Unlike bumper cars you were not allowed to hit others intentionally which seem to make the wives unhappy 👿. All in all it fun and rather exciting, I was able to finnish 5th out of 7. In addition there were modern electronic games to enjoy, but we chose to go back into the Conference Center to watch Thursday Night Football before ending the night. If you get the chance and are looking for something different, then you should try this. We enjoyed and you will probably will as well.

As long as he is 4 feet tall and knows the flags & signs they hold up.
All races are 15 laps for adults and 13 laps for juniors. One race is $20, two races is $35, three races is $45.
Yes you definitely can, but be sure to call early and have a backup date if the original doesn't pan out.
Sure, if you want to be tired and sore by the end of the day. :-) It's very easy to "join", just go and sign in with racer name. Give them a call about costs. Not sure if this track does, but others run leagues you can participate in.
There has been only one major accident, and they were able to walk away unharmed. It was the driver's fault as it was a 8 year old in an adult cart who thought it was a good idea to floor it towards the barriers. As long as the safety requirements are met and all appropriate "gear" worn, it is very safe.
They will not allow you to go over 20 if you have never raced before. They will allow you to go to the kart's maximum speed(50mph) if you are an experienced driver or participating in a racing league. The kiddie karts will only go up to 30 mph.
Yes. He will be placed in a junior cart though which doesn't go as fast as a adult cart. 12 yrs and up and a height limit are required to race on the adult carts.
Just dont wear open toed shoes and if you have long hair, put it in a pony tail
If you mean a state issued driver's license no.
It seems the junior track is closed, but there is one. I had 4 under 12 children and they all did the big track with junior carts, I see no reason that you couldn't ride with them but I didn't race with them that day.
Until closing as long as you are racing or involved in other activities.
I believe 17
Yes there is
No, the adult karts and the junior karts go on two different tracks.
Yes they have pool tables
Hard to say, depends on how driver weight but probably around 35mph
Absolutely. Make sure you get the correct size helmet (not too large).
About 14-15 laps depending on how your driving skills and the other racers are.
I believe we did 8 laps
Some rental helmets have the mount on them already, but no you can not add your own.
10- 15 minutes, not including the preparation (helmets, seatbelts, and flag instructions) and the intermission (waiting for your race to be called). A normal race would span around 16 laps.
Vinny is right
We would take a race up until the minute we close and we run races up to 30 minutes after the doors are closed.
We allow up to seven karts on the track at once. Races cost $20 for one race, $35 for two races and $45 for three races.
He can definitely get some good track time here, but they don't offer classes or anything. Since he's 14, he can "test out" of Junior Class and race in Adult Class if he's good enough. That gives faster cars and more challenge.
One race is $20, two races is $35, three races is $45.
