It is important to understand THIS IS NOT THE UNEMPLOYMENT OFFICE. The office offers access to phones that connect to Unemployment, but it works exactly the same as your own phone. They have computers so you can visit the Unemployment website, but you'd do better to use your own computer for that.

So if there are NO unemployment offices open, and the ALL the phone numbers just hang up on you no matter what option you pick...how the hell are people who have no income, suppose to survive?

I was told I needed to do the id verification too. My claim began 2/28/21 and when I called two weeks to ask why I wasn’t getting paid I actually got through. The unemployment rep told me that they failed to inform me and he apologized. He also said he was sending my information to ID.me and that ID.me would send an email to me within 2-3 weeks with the link to verify. Still haven’t gotten the email. Called ID.me yesterday and they said they don’t send that email. That unemployment has to. I’ve been trying all day to get through. No luck. They owe me over $8000 in payments and I have $400 to my name right now. This is unreal. Have you been able to do your identity verification yet?

The One Stop Career Center is a job matching and training center, not an unemployment office. The rules about eligibility for Unemployment are available on their website.

I have called every day for the last two weeks at 8:30 am. Still with the same message of "welcome to the unemployment call center. Due to the high volume of calls, we can not take your call at this time. If you need to speak to an agent please call on the next business day, however you can access our self help blah blah blah." Then it directs you to file/reopen. Go online to reopen and it directs you to call..... I appreciate you guys working and I am sure it's crazy but I wish the system wasnt a circle of nowhereness. Which isnt the workers fault. Also the actual building in pleasantville is closed until the 29th.
