Staff is very friendly and the care staff is wonderful. The facility is always clean and well lit. I definitely recommend this place for your loved ones. We are very happy that our mom is well taken care of here.

My Dad, a 100 year old WW2 Veteran was blessed to have sent to Green Acres after an illness for which he had been hospitalized for 2 weeks. He ultimately spent a month at Green Acres. Although we were skeptical at first about Rehabilitation facilities in general prior to his admission, we were delighted at his overall treatment and progress at Green Acres. My dad was treated with kindness and respect by the nurses, nutritionist, therapists, socialworkers staff and housekeeping. In particular, Ms. Rivka Greenspan, the head social worker went to great lengths to resolve issues that were, at times, daunting and very stressful. I would also add the Dad was extremely well treated by occupation therapist Meegan and physical therapist Michael. Lastly, insofar as I happen to live very close to Green Acres and spent a good deal of time there, I can personally attest to the above.

This place is HORRIBLE!! My father was there for 2 days before we got him out of this god forsaken place !! He was made to hold his urine for HOURS being that NO ONE would assist him going to the bathroom after he asked multiple staff members!! Yesterday my mom brought him home after his dialysis his blood pressure was so low that he fell and cut his face and this happened because the staff gave him meds that he WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE !! If I could give this place 0 stars I would !!!

The rooms and staff for the rehab is excellent. If your loved one ends up needing long term care…think long and hard about it. There are some absolutely wonderful nurses, but… This is how my loved one is spending her last days….. For a while she was on the only nice unit, nice, clean rooms, and again some wonderful nurses and aids. My loved one has had severe pain for years. When she is turned or transferred she yells due to pain. But the door is shut. Otherwise, she made “friends” and we became friendly with some residents. A nice atmosphere. Then, my loved one, who is on hospice, and failing, was moved because of 1 incident of yelling. She thought she was choking. They moved her to a different floor that we had never seen nor approved of, and they called my sibling in FLORIDA to tell him. They did not call my dad Who is there every day, or me, who gets all of the calls about the status of my mom. The room she was moved to is a dump, an absolute dump! I called the Director of Nursing who was rude and told me that my loved one is loud and disruptive and that the residents don’t want her on their unit. I know that this is not true. 3 nurses, one aid, and residents who we have come to know said that except for that 1 incident they never heard her yelling. In fact p, one resident who is alert and oriented told me that they called his son out of state to tell him that they are moving this resident. He doesn’t want to move. He’s been there for over 1 year. Before hanging up on me the DON told me that my loved one was involved in activities and THRIVING on the new unit and she would not move her back to where we wanted her. Thriving?!?! I wish I could show you a picture of my zombie like loved one who could not possibly participate in anything. I saw her that same night. My mother is spending her last days in a dump with a roommate who yelled and cried for one hour today, before I finally put her call bell in her hand and a nurse finally came. An aid had been in the room 1/2 hr prior and told her she would be back. So this is the atmosphere that my dying mom is in and my father is suffering greatly over this. Thank God we have Serenity Hospice. Them, I trust and appreciate. The administration….No.
