I should’ve read the reviews before i moved to this city. Crime rate is pretty high in oak park, Check it yourself. Also, consenting your parking ticket will be rejected even if you submit your request

Choose another city. Oak park is run by thieves

No respect for employees that work in this town. So tired of wasting so much hard-earned money on paying parking tickets because their pay boxes are always out of order and their app never works. No matter how much proof you show them that it is their error and not your's, they will demand more of your money anyway. I used to love Oak Park, but this is too ridiculous. I will be moving my business out of here very soon. No wonder there are so many empty businesses.

Do not move to Oak Park if you will not have a parking spot! I have never gotten so many tickets in my life. You cannot even have visitors without them paying or moving their cars multiple times a day, or else they will get a ticket. There is a permit for night parking, day parking, 24 hour parking. Oak Park also does a horrible job of posting parking signs, and expect you to just know the rules. They also have old or inaccurate information on their website. You need a permit for almost everything, even to take your dog to parks. I cannot wait to move.

Yes you can!

Technically, yes. You need a temporary food vendor license and a special event permit. In reality, just put up the kid's lemonade stand. Enforcement is rare and nobody is going to pay $250 in permits for a lemonade stand.
Depends. The village allows up a total of three pets dogs and cats together, but the condo association can be more strict so ask for a copy of the CC&R.
