Really friendly. Final prices are less than quoted. I was a bit skeptical taking my beloved family member here, but trust she was treated well.

Staff are polite, respectful and so patient. They are informative and show they care, my fur family are not just numbers served, they are treated like family. Thank you and will continue to support our local Humane Society.💞

Awesome veterinary! My dog was treated like a king. The Dr was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me including prices before any work was done. The office staff were easy to work with and were very helpful. Great place to do business and will be returning.

Love this Rochester humane society they are awesome & are there to help with fostering animals. I found an infant baby kitten who was abandoned, cold & hungry with her eyes closed. The humane society here has an excellent program to help with all the costs and supplies , medical is included ..they really took care of my baby Miracle! She is as healthy as can be now almost a year!

I would love to have the houses although I have one cat 1 yr old he is so bored he attacks me!!!!
You should look online for such places. My neighbor was very ill and her father had died and she didn't have the monies for feeding her 2 dogs and 2 cats. The Humane Society should also be able to point you in the right direction regarding what organizations offer to help our pet kids. The food that is donated by customers and the pet store itself usually donates to the Humane Society to help feed the animals there. Good Luck
Basically if you take the animals to animal control they will take them but if you call they may shoo you elsewhere. If this happens again always go in person.
I do not work there however I've been told they're always looking for volunteers but you have to go through a training process at least that is what I heard I was just call them and ask them yourself
All About Animals located in Warren and on Auburn rd in Auburn Hills has super low cost vaccines. They charge only what they pay for them. Also they spay and neuter cats and dogs for 40.00.
The Oakland County Animal Shelter offers more free adoption dates than the MHS
U ask to see the cats or kittens if they have any an they can help from there good luck
Never declaw a cat
Yes!! They do indeed have adult kitty's it's also wonderful to here that an adult cat will soon have a loving family and not be put down for merely being not a kitten. All the best to you
No you still need a appointment, when you call there's a central station that answers the phone, when you call you have ask for the clinic that you want and be transferred to that clinic.
Calling this place would be a good start. They could probably point you in the right direction.
As the others said, things vary from day to day. Check often: small, fluffy critters go quickly.
No I wouldn't
I know a elder lady who lives on a fixed income and her dogs name is Nellie shes a big dig around 5yrs old and I know it would be greatly appreciated
All about Animals offers low cost spay/neuter if MHS doesn't. Previous answer says $40.
Humane society on auburn rd call them the r really helpful Rochester
Animals are always in need; give them a call and I'm sure you can set up a time to drop off gently-used donations
They have all kind of breeds and ages. Call and make an appointment
Yup
Yes. I take my cat there. Make sure you call the number for the vet center not the shelter. And the wait time is usually about 2-3 weeks. Not sure if they still do the waitlist.
Call the humane Society and explain your situation, they sometimes have resources to assist us who love our animals but need help with vet care.
I think the trap neuter release program is free.not sure.please call them for correct info.
The Humane Society will accept open bags if they are in original bag, box.
They have microchip service. You need to call and make appointment and ask for the cost. However, AllAboutAnimals Rescue has walk-in clinic in Auburn Hills, just about a mile from MHS, microchip costs $25 and no vet visit fee.
Yes! I had my female rabbit spayed there back in May. All went well and the veterinarian was very knowledgable, too.
I assume they'd put it down. Circle of life. Or you could raise it long enough to make it on its own.
Find out where she puts her food outside like the animal she is and slip something not so nice in there. Some laxative cookies... Idk.
I have only adopted from shelter which is up to individual who runs each shelter. I'm sure HS has criteria on home page.
I believe they accept donations
They do take in rabbits
Last I checked it was $50 if you just surrender and$150 if you want to be in the room with your fur baby.
It's not an ideal situation but many small breeds especially, like to stay indoors. As long as they are given enough space indoors and aren't just shut in a kennel half the time.
This is a public forum for the group. You need to contact the shelter and set up an appointment for an owner surrender. They dont accept walk ins or drop offs.
Declawed no one should declaw a cat
I haven't seen Christmas cards but they do have an annual calendar.
Hi Katie, but you really need to call and speak with someone regarding not surrendering your bunnies if you volunteer... MOST DEFINITELY CALL THEM 1ST
They probably won't take cats but they will take dogs what do you have
Call Michigan humane society and make an appointment. They will be able to help.
You need to call the Humane Society to ask them the cost of adopting a dog. They're usually isn't a price difference due to the size of the dog. They're not fruits and vegetables... Lol
Contact the rescue you got your pet from. Typically they'd rather have the animal back.
Hi they do, but for a specific question such as their costs for Veterinarian services it's best to go to their website and in my lil opinion I prefer calling to ensure that it's the updated fee.
Yes they do. I would suggest that you either visit their website or call them directly to get the correct information.
You'll pick the pup up later that day or evening. I think they're there until 7pm or after.
Depends, but in general they are way cheaper than regular vets.
You would have to call the vet about that
Yes they do for a fee. Call ahead and ask about it.
Yes I have no idea where the location that you're asking about, but report to your city, county animal control/shelter, report to the Humane Society and also there are also feral cat organizations that catch and sterilize then release them back where they came from. They are too wild to be adopted. You can always tell because they clip one tiny bit of their ear off.
As far as i know. You need an appointment to surrender an animal. No appointment to adopt.
Never surrender an animal to the humane society, there is a adoption center over by the Oakland county courthouse that will not euthanize an animal because of its age. If the animal is too sick to be adopted and doesn't have a "quality of life " then and only then do they put them down. Good luck trying to find out if your pet was adopted. More than likely it was if not there to long. Also when the paperwork is filled there is an identification given to the animal(s) so you can follow up by calling them.
I'm glad to hear that they will take them
You can go online and see all the cats in pound or and the Humane Society. You can ask all about animals all so
Both times that I've adopted our cat from the Humane Society in Rochester Hills, we took him home with us that day.
Go to the shelter by the circuit court building on telegraph rd in pontiac
There's a good vet all about animals on auburn, and one on Baldwin
Before taking him to Humane Society, post on social media like FaceBook, include a picture, what's special about him, etc. Mention to neighbors who in turn can post on facebook or spread the word another way. Post a flyer on the bulletin boards you see at Kroger, cvs, ... and even CraigsList (meet at police station)
Biting / mouthing is how they test and interact. Get the puppy bones (forget what they are made of) for himself, a rope for you to play tug of war with, and some Kong toys. Fill the kong with peanut butter and freeze it.
Yes, at a cost. If u can go to Royal Oak on your own, it will save you some $
Call 911 they will call ASPCA poor little guy
I would check that Doug, with them. Last I heard they had a 100% rate of healthy pets. They don't just kill if there's no room.
Best tho call, but they should
The summit do exotic animals last time we tried, such as reptiles.
You can surrender your cats at the MHS on Auburn Road, east of Adams Road.
No because they pay to get the animal.
If its chipped call the HoS and city to let them know, they will scan for chips
