Great place to take the family. They do not charge, but solely take donations. Should you have a down day visiting Wildwood, take a drive to relax & enjoy the animals.

Such a wonderful zoo! Giraffe, zebra, large cats, bears, a safari, bird house, butterfly house, reptile house, and so much more! A great family outing.

A good place to take the family for a fun day out.
Yes, face coverings are required the entire time inside the Zoo. While outside of the Zoo, in the Park, face coverings are required as per the Governor’s Executive Order when social distancing can not be maintained, just as it is throughout the rest of the State. We can provide face masks if you do not have one before entering the Zoo.
Yes, we have dozens of picnic tables throughout the Park that are free to use first come first served. We also have pavilions that seat between 50 and 150 people that need to be reserved on our website www.cmczoo.com Food is not permitted to be brought inside of the Zoo, but anywhere in the Park is fine.
Yes, DSLR cameras are welcomed. As long as you do not impede the walkways with tripods there is no problem. We encourage visitors to photograph our residents here in the Zoo, and learn more about them. We have visitors that occasionally bring multiple large lens and multiple cameras.
Each Pavilion can be rented on our website www.cmczoo.com from 7:00am to sunset, and there are multiple grills at each location. There is an area located next to the Park Office where we have grills that can be used for no fee, there is also one or two picnic tables near the grills. This area is under a "first come first served" usage, and they are usually taken very early. Please plan ahead as the Park and Zoo can be very busy. Enjoy your visit.

No, unfortunately, we do not allow dogs at the Park and Zoo. Due to the dozens of peafowl and guineafowl that we have roaming freely on the grounds we do not allow them. We have had bad experiences with dogs attacking our birds in the Park. We do allow dogs in all of our other parks throughout the County, just not the Park at the Zoo.
The entrance is free, they only give you the map of the place since it is large and they only ask you if you would like to make a donation if you wish, it is not obligatory but if you want you can donate from a penny to where you want to donate, since with those donations in $ $$ is that they can maintain and have the Zoo in perfect conditions, and to give you an idea, my daughter wanted to give a donation of $15.00 dollars from her savings since she loved the place and wants the animals and the place to be in perfect condition. conditions.
All the animals here at the Cape May County Park and Zoo have choice to move freely between their dens and their outside habitats. The only times that any of the animals are kept inside are for expected hazardous weather, or for cleaning their habitat. Some of the animals are more active in their preferred temperature, but almost all the animals can be seen outside or moving around their habitat every day regardless of the temperature.
No. Not at all. Open every day but closed to public on Christmas. No cost to get in but they ask for donations and believe me a good donation is well worth it. Great zoo
We have three Butterfly and Hummingbird gardens in the Park and Zoo. They are natural habitats and are not enclosed exhibits. One is located in the Park field by the Office, the second is located by Tree to Tree Adventure Course, and the third is located along the Zoo's Savanna boardwalk.
Unfortunately, not able to answer that question; bc, I went with My Son MaRquI'& his Family. We pk'd a Lunch, but we were on the benches; then chk'd out the animals , after my grandchildren played, n the Rec. Area 😄.
There are a few different ones throughout the zoo. One picnic area is before you enter the area with the giraffes and there's approx 8 tables there. There are a few others scattered on the grounds that are about the same size. The park itself outside of the zoo has a few areas to sit and relax as well. Hope this helps
Yes, but donations keep the zoo up and running for free. They have a great park and we love the Capemay Zoo. You donate at parking or the front entrance of the zoo. Even a dollar helps
Your best bet this time of year, down the shore is to always call ahead and see what the hours are of where ever you plan on going. Google's hours are usually incorrect for any places that revolve around the seasonal crowd.
Can you go there on a rainy day? Would all exhibits be open still?

They are still open on rainy days and even though the exhibits will still be open the animals may choose to not be out (but that could still happen on any day).
Is the shuttle running from the ferry to zoo on labor day

I'm sorry I don't know. Have you tried calling them?
Though you cannot feed the birds in a meet and greet type setting, the aviary is a walk through where you are not separated from the birds. When you are inside the building, the birds can walk right up to you. You are not permitted to feed them or touch them. The birds could be directly in front of you eating, though.
Zoo is open year round but closed on certain holidays. Check their website to be certain of days and hours. Admission is donation based. Please keep in mind the donations are what keep the zoo operational. Hope you enjoy your visit as much as my family and I do.
Lions, leopard, cheetahs, river otters, red panda, coating, lots of birds, zebras, amphibians, cow, pigs, camel, elk, bison, alpacas, llamas, kangaroo and more
Its seven and above for the zipline. It also states by appointment only, not sure how that works. And they do sell food but I would stick to the drinks only and just have a picnic lunch.
Yes there is handicapped parking even during construction. You just have to show your handicapped placard and they will make it happen.
Zoo parking is free. You are asked to place a donation in the box for admittance. It's an honor system. best deal at the. Shore.
