All the animals here at the Cape May County Park and Zoo have choice to move freely between their dens and their outside habitats. The only times that any of the animals are kept inside are for expected hazardous weather, or for cleaning their habitat. Some of the animals are more active in their preferred temperature, but almost all the animals can be seen outside or moving around their habitat every day regardless of the temperature.

For the most part they are, but there maybe a few that are more cold sensitive. Even then, they usually have an interior area where they can still be viewed. Birds and reptiles are housed inside and are typically open.
