Awesome place

It's a small skate area, but it's nice for the size. :)

Not alot of skate parks in Columbia, but this is one of the better ones I've seen.

Mr. Mayfield was a friend of mine whom took good care of this park. He loved all the people who came to skate, bike or skateboard. He was very proud of this park. It is a beautiful area, great open scenery with a very cool view of planes flying & landing over head. It is well kept since he passed away & they even honored him with the Mayfield Classic. It is a great place to have fun, learn some new tricks, practice some old ones & meet new members of the skating community. No graffiti or litter. It is dog friendly & kept clean. It is a nice place & I see why Mr. Mayfield loved it so much.

It is free!
The ymca have teams that plays there but its mostly first come first serve. If a team does come that has the feild you are on then you would have to move to a diffrent feild. Cause they have the first come first serve. They normally practice from like 5-8pm if thay are but right now they wont be playing untill fall soccer season starts
Yes
It's not great for beginners but the pump track certainly is good to get used to ramps and transition.
Early mornings are slow. Later in the afternoon it gets packed with little little kids playing around. Also the memorial stadium next to the skatepark is AMAZING for beginners or anyone of any level! It's a newly paved parking lot with a fun hill, a few stairs, and great lights! Definitely worth checking it out if the skatepark is a bust!
It is open right now. I'm not sure about the helmet requirement but I would personally recommend it anyway

Yes, there is a quarter mile track, marked for track and field events, a diamond for soft/baseball, several soccer fields, a playground, and a disc golf course
Unfortunately not. Theres one an hour and forty five min away in Charleston.
Not that I have noticed. The playground is great and historically there have been soccer fields there for a long time. The playgrounds, however, are pretty new additions so there may be more plans to put in tables, covered areas, etc. I am not sure.
No, scooters not allowed due to an age limit of older than 2 months old
