I went inpatient voluntarily late September after a week of the partial hospitalization program and it was honestly the best decision I could’ve made. I was so scared my first day because of all of the stories I’ve heard about mental hospitals but none of it is true for this place. I made so many good friends and it really was like a big family. The staff is amazing and they treat you like people, not just a patient. If anyone is struggling and you decide that you need help, I would highly recommend any of their programs. I’ve been through all 3 programs and each one has been great. Thank you to all of the staff here, you really have safe my life. <3

If your child is admitted voluntarily, you are initially told you can visit, but then told you cannot for the entire time they are there. I was told by 2 people that I would get daily updates on his treatment and progress from the therapist and/or doctor. That was untrue. I was told by a nurse that they never call until they are ready to discharge and they (nurses) can leave a message, but it's up to the doctor and therapist if they want to call you. I was told by at least 2 people that as soon as my son saw the doctor, they would get approval for him to have his school laptop so he can stay up to date on his school work. I was given multiple time lines for how long his stay would be, 2-3 days, 7-10 days, "possibly only 3 days". There is zero consistency on information between departments and when you express your frustration and concern you're told you're being dramatic. Well, maybe I was, but I had just found out that my 14 year old had had suicidal ideation and he was admitted and, at this point, had not recieved any communication from anyone there that I did not initiate for 3 days. I was told all the things Heather, the charge nurse, was telling me, as she was interrupting me continuously, was "in the admission packet". I never received an admission packet. She then told me "yeah, you'll get it when he's discharged with the discharge packet". What good does an admission packet do if you only give it to the child and NOT the parent?!?! I do hope that he gets the help he needs and that we never have to do this again, but if we do, I will definitely find somewhere else besidesThe Carolina Center for Behavioral Health.

My wife was treated at this facility by a Dr Menom, and two days after she was released she set my car on fire. What does that say about this place and doctor?

Mental health in Spartanburg is no longer giving out Klonopin and I have been on them for 20 plus years and they have taken me off so I am trying to find a doctor that will put me on Klonopin or some kind of benzo does anybody have any idea of any doctors that definitely will more a psychiatrist actually is what I need
they will not help you whatsoever even if you have the money. I wouldn't send a dog here for any type of treatment...
you're gonna be suicidal once you get here thats for sure..
Yes and nurses. They're really good there.
Unit 5 is high crisis unit 6 adolescents ,unit 7 older elderly patients
They do however have landline phones you can use to call but at certain permitted times
I'm not too sure about the 28 day program. I would imagine that you would have more liberties than other patients. Call and ask them about the program, they are great there! Sorry I couldn not help more
The patients do not have to wear masks. Smoking is permitted every 2 hours for smoke break.
Not necessarily. Depends on the situation.
This is a lie. I checked myself in paid 1200 cash up front and the second day I tried to leave they told me I had to wait for the Dr to dismiss me which would have been on Monday considering it was Friday and a dr isn't there on weekends so I escaped. They called the police and everything even tho I checked in and paid voluntary. I wouldn't send my dog to get treatment here for any condition...
Mine was 7 days. I met someone that had already been there 75 days with no signs of leaving and also seen someone leave with minimum 72 hour stay.
Not together.
Why can you not call
Call 911
You will have to ask them about that
Depends on your insurance and the doctor's
Sure can.
I think they can arrange transportation for you if necessary but I'm not certain on that. You can call them (they're still there) and talk to someone.
You can commit yourself.
12 (By the way, I am not staff, I was a patient here just to clarify.)
They do arrange transportation if necessary.
1-> Addiction; detoxing from drugs or alcohol 2-> Adult Psych; suicidal, bipolar, schizophrenic etc. 3-> High Functioning Geriatrics; typically over or around 65 but can do most of their own activities of daily living. 4-> Stepdown from Unit 1; further detox and rehabilitation 5-> Crisis Unit; actively psychotic, having hallucinations and/or delusions etc. 6-> Adolescent Unit; typically no younger than 13 7-> Low functioning geriatrics; typically over 65 and need help with one or more activities of daily living. There is also Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient treatment. Hope this helps you! :)
Each unit is specific to the needs/help the individual at the facility requires/desires.
Know that you are loved by God because of John 3:16 Reach out to someone even someone at a church any place. Because we care and love you!
I'm not sure. I'm struggling with that now. So I dont think they do. They said short term is there thing
Yoiu will need to call and ask if they. Do. O ha bff e been there. They do not do 1 on 1 therapy appointments but you do have a theraoist assigned to you if you have a need or a questions. They do have outpatient services. Best place to go though.
They took my daughter yesterday and she does not have insurance.
It's hard to get in without insurance or a cash deposit
My daughter went t FAITH HOME FOR WOMEN in Abbeyville,S.C. ery successful 3 month program. Free. You have to be a week clean before you go. Usually a short waiting list. The home office is at FAITH HOME in GREENWOOD.SC She is 2 yes. Clean doing great! Highly reccomended.
Not sure 100% but I believe so. I would call them direct for confirmation.
They are great at dealing with addictions and mental illnesses of all types.
Depends on which unit the person is on...give them a call and they are great about helping with information
They do accept a wide range of insurance... please do check it out if you feel like you're in crisis - it's a really good place!
Because they don't want to release someone to the streets. Hard to stay safe on the street.
I'm honestly not sure if they have one, I looked on the web page and for contact it's either a number or you fill out a quick contact smd they get back to you. Sorry, wish i was more help.
