Called to set a time for someone to come by and give me an estimate on a bunch of trees I needed pruned. About two weeks later, Scoot arrived and went through the work I wanted to have done. Scott seemed knowledgeable and sent over an estimate the following night. I liked Scott enough that I was ready to book the service a day or two later. He told me the crew was about three weeks out, which was fine because I had a six week window to get the work done. The problem is that Scott was unresponsive after the initial visit. I contacted him to confirm we wanted the service done and he got back to me about a week later after I contacted him again. He told me they could get the work done in the time frame I needed, but never actually bothered to schedule the appointment for my desired day. I followed up again about a week or two later and never heard back from him. This prompted me to look into their competitors and I am so glad I did! Thanks to Scott, I found another company who did the work much cheaper and had no issues scheduling the work for when I needed it done. If you are seeking excellent customer service with great follow up, I'd look elsewhere. I understand they are probably busy, but lousy customer service is not acceptable for me.

We lost power and the power company wouldn't restore until trees where trimmed and removed. Heartwood responded quickly at a fair price. Their schedule was coordinated with power company so it went like clock work. Very professional company

I called several certified arborist to come take a look at the maple trees in the front of my property. Heartwood tree is the only company who wants to charge just to come out. I am in outside sales and we have never once charged to go get someone at an estimate. That is ridiculous.

Very professional and totally trustworthy. They came right away when a huge branch of an oak tree fell, and also came back for a major trim job. The crews and office personnel have always been great.

Good morning and thank you for the question. Trees come in all shapes, sizes, species and condition. If the tree needs additional pruning to increase it's safety and reduce liability the crew going out needs to know that in advance to plan on the proper amount of time, equipment and skills. If there's deadwood in the tree it needs to be removed before we can install the swing. Otherwise if we did install it and a piece fell onto someone using the swing we could be found liable. Some species are not suitable for a swing and some that are may be structurally defective. Our swings can last up to 15 years but should be inspected at least every 3 years or after a damaging weather event. We do but our costs are higher than landscapers due to the danger of tree work and workers comp.
