We had a Nissan Armada assigned for our round trip from Utah to Cali (4 day trip) and it was an excellent ride. Was a bit concerned after seeing the ratings but we had no issues with our experience.

Completely rude and dishonest. Booked a reservation for a price online and was told that there was no more cargo vans there and that I would be charged significantly more to get a comparable vehicle. How can I book a vehicle it says they have and when I get there its not available and its going to cost significantly more. If we treated our customers like this we would not have a business.

I'm not sure if I can call it crooked, ignorant, or just plain dishonest service. I was charged double the agreed amount despite everything in order with the return and the rental itself. Had to convince them to reimburse me the extra day charge, but they only released some of the extra charge. Either way, I'm NOT renting from any Hertz business again. BEWARE. ---- For Hertz: Rental Record #189997065 Jason Foster/Branden Neville My rental check out was originally pleasant enough and the car was in good shape, with the promised total at $156 (one day rental charge, insurance, driver fees and taxes, plus a $200 refunded security deposit). Because I would be returning the vehicle outside of business hours on a Sunday, I was TOLD "there will be extra pending day charges added to the credit card on file because the system thinks you're not returning it on time, but once we check it in on Monday, those will go away, the security deposit will be returned and you'll be back at the original agreed amount". I even double checked that I could return the vehicle within the 24hour rental time and not get charged extra (as long as the vehicle was in its original good shape) and I was told yes. I did as agreed, I even took before and after pictures of the vehicle with time stamps showing I returned it in time. I submitted the keys, brochure and even receipts of refueling and car wash all together in the night drop, and on Monday when it was checked in I was charged $331.08 total! I called and asked why I was charged DOUBLE the agreed amount, the district manager who answered said they charged me an extra day because I was "late", (literally he explained "if you're late by an hour outside of your rental time, you get charged an extra day", so I had to make him go over the receipts and brochure to prove I was on time). He simply said (probably just to get me to shut up) "I'll talk to them and have them return the extra day charge". I was very grateful for that. But the reimbursed amount was still $60 short of the agreed amount, they only returned $110.78 (literally just a day charge, not the extra insurance and driving fee charges as well). Look, I just want some honest transparency about it. I don't care if I need to pay more for the rental, but that better be established BEFORE I rent the damn thing. If I'm TOLD "THIS is what you'll pay and despite being a weekend we'll keep the agreed charged as long as you do you're part" then that BETTER BE what I get charged if I prove I've held up my end of the bargain. Absolutely unbelievably horrendous dishonesty. I'll be coming in in person to resolve the rest of this.

I had a great experience with Hertz. Very professional and pleasant staff, I had multiple car options to choose from, and the Buick that I got ran perfectly the entire weekend. Great work Hertz! Thank you!
