Decent yard in the summer, but extremely cold in the winter. Lay-ups are under the building so it blocks all the sun.

R42's fleet is now retired and no longer operate in customer service. They either will provide work train service or be scrapped.

Depending on the problem, if the mta can take care of it in house, then they'll return asap, but if the problem is manufacturers of safety problems. Then it might be a long time or never again.
