Great park. Enough trees to give you some privacy . Staying in B campground with a 35 ft class A. Bath house could use some major updates but served its purpose .

RACCOONS WILL GET INTO EVERYTHING!! We were told the park is for them too and they actually ENCOURAGE them to come around. They come right up to you at the campsite during the day and then bust into coolers and containers at night. Beautiful park but we won’t be returning. Everyone in the park was mad about it and the park rangers don’t care.

Had a good time camping with my wife and dog, but not the best camping experience I’ve had. Campground was easy to navigate and check-in was painless. There was no firewood available to purchase but dry logs were scattered along our campsite. Bathrooms were filthy; Not sure if on the weekends they are not maintained. Tent campsites were a bit too close in my opinion, but everyone was friendly. This campground is great if you have kids however our experience was less than enjoyable with kids screaming early in the morning before quiet hours. Overall, camping at this state park is okay. Enjoy a day on the water and find somewhere else to stay if possible.

We have camped here about 6 times and have had no issues, however this past weekend our camper was invaded by ants! We have camped for many years in a tent and now a travel trailer and have never had this problem. I feel the ants are due to the many metal trash cans scattered throughout ,because they are covered with them. They are convenient until you are awakened in the middle of the night with the crash of them tipping or lids falling off with the help of raccoons, or you hope its just raccoons!! So then in the morning you get to see garbage scattered all over and drug thru forest leftover containers. We always camp at State Park due to facilities and cleanliness but I have to say this is the first we have stayed at that has trash cans verses a dumpster you take you trash to. I STRONGLY recommend the change.

Oh my yes there are very nice tent sites!!! as a matter of fact last fall when i left the park was refoing one whole tent site section. and if your lucky the deer will walk right thru. monster pool. ice machine. there is a cool lil store with all camping, fishin goodies st entrance to the park. there is a restaurant on the marina side. big ballfield an picnic shelters, playground etc. grills and fire rings and picnic tables galore. at most all sites also. big pretty shady hardwoods most everywhere. this wonderful park is not into jammed up spaces such as most of chester frost co park. some spots there are nice but they had to build overflow area and ya get to know your neighbors a little too well!!! its all great fun. Harrison Bay State Park in Chattanooga Tn is a wonderful destination for all campers. Is well known for having so good shoreline spots so as to keep your boat close to site. Hiking trails all around and primitive campsites available. Can reserve spots online!enjoy

Yes. Some of the sites have immediate access, others may be a little farther away but not a long walk.
