I have chronic lower back pain and am trying to get an MRI done to see if I am eligible for a new procedure that may alleviate my pain. I have a spinal cord stimulator and it does need to be turned off during the MRI, but I already had another MRI with Northside with the stimulator. I have been trying for weeks to schedule one and have spoken with numerous people. Each tells me differing reasons why I can or cannot have the MRI at their location. On last Thursday or Friday, again after weeks of being told different things, I emailed my Stimulator card to the supervisor of the Alpharetta office, Jennifer Sauceda. She told me within two days I should hear back from someone to reschedule my MRI to the proper location. That was six days ago. I have been trying to call her for two days, left three voicemails, and have not had a return phone call. I know in these times we need to be patient with customer service, but when someone is in a great deal of pain daily to where I need a stimulator and I may be eligible for a procedure that may help reduce my pain and a hospital is preventing me from getting help with an MRI, I cannot excuse customer service in this case!

This place doesn’t have their act together. Breakdown between the person doing the scheduling, person handling day-of check-in, and person performing the scan. I was told by scheduler to arrive early to drink contrast solution, and I did. I told person handling registration I needed to drink contrast solution and I was told they would give it to me “when they call you back.” When called back technician asked me how long ago I’d drank the contrast; I said I hadn’t yet. She suggested I reschedule for another day because it has to be consumed 45 min to an hour before scan. Or, I could drink it now and wait an extra hour for the scan. I told technician I had asked for contrast solution when I first checked in (which by now was an hour earlier) but they told me I’d get it later. The technician was very nice and apologized saying, “We’ve been having this problem a lot lately.” Anyway, looks like I’ll be spending much longer than expected here at Northside’s Alpharetta Imaging today. The poor reviews I just read are accurate and well deserved. I also plan to let me referring physician know this place is a disappointment. Go somewhere else if you can!

Horrible service! My elderly mother was there on Thursday in a wheelchair and the technician treated her very poorly she didn't even assist her to get out the wheelchair. My mother doesn't speak English but that is no excuse to mistreat an old woman. She ended crying. The hippocratic oath says first do no harm!

Self-pay patients, beware. Admissions will check you in with a self-pay, pay-in-full amount the date of service. You will walk away thinking you have paid all, but then a few weeks later will get slapped with a bill from other hospital services (radiology in our case) that was in the fine print as a "possible additional charge, this is only an estimate." It sure would be nice if the admissions staff would point this out to self-pay patients. This has happened to our family twice now more than doubling the original quote, with additional charges totaling $100s of dollars.

Yes, if you are the driver, or her caregiver
The parking is free, we visited past week and didn't have to pay.
Depends if it is a CT scan or an MRI. MRI is the small "tube". MRIs can take awhile depending on your ordered test. I would ask the location how long they think it will take. Also ask if they have an "open" MRI. CT scan is pretty quick - you slide through a big donut looking thing not at all clautrophobia inducing
Not sure. I personally take ambetter if they do not.
