This camp site and stretch of beach are both SO BEAUTIFUL! I saw seagulls and crabs and clams... So much wildlife ❤️ There is a restricted section between the estuary and the beach that's blocked off to preserve sand bird nesting sites. PLEASE respect that and keep out of that area between March and September! We want to keep our native wildlife thriving and preserve Oregon's biodiversity. My only complaint was how loud the ATVs were the whole time we were there. I guess there's an ATV rental place just down the road and the dunes look perfect for riding around on. Luckily the camp had a quieter side further away from where everyone was riding. That makes it a great place for people who want to ride and for people who just want to get away - not so great for people who want serenity, quiet, and the signs of nature though. Just keep that in mind when planning your trip I guess.

Great time! You can bring your own or rent an atv near by and they will bring it to the Dunes for you. So much fun! Riding along the beach or in the Dunes! You can do the same thing around Dunes City! Huge blast! Would not miss this! But plan months in advance. You will need to reserve an atv if you are renting. If you have your own camping at the location is perfect but that will also need a reservation far in advance. Go, ride, have the time of your life!!!!

Beautifully stunning location and views. Variety in the campsites for size of space and type of fire pit. I liked that they had two spaces per site to park the car next to the trailer while also having room to leave the car hooked up if preferred. This place is majorly for off roading it seems with a huge and cool sandy flat zone for people to cruise around and then a slight hill with loose sand that leads to the beach for more cruising. If you are looking for a place to play with your off road toys you'll love it. If you want to sleep in and enjoy peace and quiet you might want to choose a different one because the engines start up at 7am sharp.

Such a fun place with a little something for everybody. Great dune camping destination. Beach access is great as well. Plenty of riding areas for all levels of experience.

Certainly you could, but it's more about racing around the sand dunes and flats in ATVs. The incumbent noise and potential danger from fast vehicles would make a volleyball game difficult unless you walked down the stretch of beach where vehicles are not allowed. This is a vehicle-oriented park, not pedestrian.
So they have been open however with the fires going on I'm not so sure. I would try to find out what is going on in Tillamook county.
Yes, exactly what z said. Plus $5 for a day use pass
Yes you can camp on the sand. Their go stright in stop and talk with camp host he will let you now ware you can camp
When I went, there were a few dogs and none were on leashes. No one made a big deal. The specific area I was at didn't have a sign forbidding dogs. We were right by the water. There were kids playing on one end and people fishing on the other. The dogs stayed close to the owners for the most part but again, none were on leashes.
Tsunami is the Rental Place down there.
Yeah, people do take 5th wheels that long out on the sand but definitely air down to like 10-15 psi on all tires and dont let off the gas until you get on more compact sand.
No, it's opened. We go in November every year. If you can't register online you can pay cash in the drop box. The camp host are there year around and are great!
Pacific city has a place
As of 5 days ago it was going to be open but it will be very packed
Yes.we were there last wnkd and it was packed even the day parking area
There are 4 areas to choose from when camping. 1st is sand beach campground, they require reservation only. Go to www.recreation.gov for reservations. 2nd is East dunes campground, it is first come first serve, no reservations. 3rd is the west winds campground, this is also first come first serve, no reservations. 4th is sand camping on the dunes.
Is not open for camping; it's open for day use only
Your water from home will probably be better
There's a place called Sand Lake Tsunami ATV Rental. That's where youd rent an ATV.
Well you can put you tent anywhere in the sand. But like site only for tents no.
Free if you camp out on the sand at a tree line or $25 a night in the camp ground best to reserve in advance but you don't have to unless it's a major event/holiday.
$60.00 when we stayed there for the weekend on in September of 2018
I believe in the camp grounds there is water spickets. But we brought our own water because we camped out in the sand away from the camp grounds.
Any mtorcycle shop! U have to have the online permit as well all ages. Under 16 has to do a rider evaluation and or ride test as well.
No special pace needed but why would you want to go to the dunes during the most crowded time safety first avoid riding with idiots and pick a weekend that doesn't attract thousands of extra riders.
Yes u have to burn in a designated area and it's all right can't have them too big though make sure there's water or fire extinguisher and a shovel nearby
Sure , but it is the ocean... Brrrrr!
Yes. I've even seen people set up shop right in the Sand Dune area under trees. I am not sure if that's legal.
How do you pay and who do you pay go I need to worry about it or should I try to go online and pay I've never been there
Not that i now of. But is open and some times their is alot of poeple riden
yes as long you want rain it has been putting buckets but we opened after gov shutdown
There is a first come first served area and there is a reservable campground. Sandbeach campground is reservable and east and west dunes campgrounds are walk in. I believe you can reserve online or there is a phone number.
