No special pace needed but why would you want to go to the dunes during the most crowded time safety first avoid riding with idiots and pick a weekend that doesn't attract thousands of extra riders.
It really is not bad on the big weekends, not like Coos and others . If you want to avoid idiots as the other person stated. Staying home , is the only way that may be possible. No matter when you go, there is always that one guy... and no special pass just the same as you would any other time. I love Sandlakes because it is closer then Coos and always has room to tent or RV camp!
