Interacting with government entities usually bring little pleasure to one's life. But this one takes the cake. I understand that they have a lot of applications to process, but it takes many months which is unacceptable. The amount of things lost is also ridiculous. They will not even let you know if something was received that was mailed 2 months prior. How is anyone to know if it was lost in the mail or not? To top it off, if it takes too long (on their end) the application expires only for one to start over again. I have been trying to get this done for the past year and a half. What an embarrassment and shame on those who are running this.

By far the worst medical board I have worked with. They never answered their phones. Their email responses didn't answer my questions. They lost multiple documents required for the application. They took at least two weeks between each subsequent review of my application when I know they received the required documents well before that. It took 3 months for them to initially review my application and 6 months for my license to be approved. Painful experience.

They are completely discriminatory against practicing subspecialists that have no access to AOA CME. This requirement is outdated and completely unnecessary in this day and age.

This board is absolutely horrible. I have been waiting forever to get a medical license from them. They ignore e-mails and take a long time to answer phone calls when I'm the next caller in line. When someone does answer, it is usually someone rude on the other end who wants to provide no information. I am considering not practicing in PA anymore due to this whole process.

If your child abuse CME was a PA approved course the program sends verification of your completion directly to the Board. Once the Board receives it they will send you an email updating your renewal status. For me it took about 5 days between course completion and issue of my license.

Greetings! I am applying for a state of Delaware license and they requested proof of licensure. The date on my Pa license is July 28 1987, but AMA files indicate I have a resident license dated 7/1/89.Could I ? This date is 2/3 thru my IM residency!

The training license covered you during your internship years and does have a different number, start and end date than your permanent license. Unfortunately you do have to list both and get both verified in order to complete your license application in Delaware
