The room was spacious (two queens with a living room). The staff was always friendly. The proximity to things to do in ABQ is good. It does have it's issues though. The pool is badly in need of a full drain and scrubbing. The spa had some weird film on the top of the water. The breakfast area was constantly a mess after 8 am. Tables weren't cleaned, trash was overflowing and food was old or soggy. But the worst part was the smell in our hallway! It smelled like an elephant enclosure at a zoo everyday in the hallway for three days. Gross.

We stayed here with our dog. We got a dog friendly room and the smell was so bad we had to get a different room. The woman working the front desk was very helpful and helped us relocate to another room that was also really smelly but not as bad as the first one. They really need to replace the carpets. Shower pressure was fantastic and the place was clean and very quiet.

Maybe we were just exhausted after a long, continuous drive halfway across the continent, but this place offered a heavenly respite. The bed was *so* comfortable (much more so than the beds we'd slept on at Motel 6 and Super 8). It was perfect for a much needed long sleep. The shower, too, was a godsend. The showerhead produced a broad, strong stream that was just perfect for washing away the travel funk. We especially liked the array of name-brand shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles built into the wall. The decor and other amenities were excellent as well. Beth, the front desk staff who welcomed us and got us set up, was friendly, funny, and helpful. She gave us a great recommendation for where to take lunch/dinner. (Laguna Burger, just across the parking lot, served up the best shakes we've had in a long time.) Finally, the wide selection of complimentary breakfast options in the morning were pretty good. Cold cereal and milk, scrambled eggs and sausages, biscuits and gravy, warm flaky cinnamon rolls, and other assorted victuals were a great way to start the day. (By way of suggestion, I wish that chocolate milk had been on offer.)

I am a loyal IHG member and stay at their hotels whenever possible. I picked this particular hotel because it was pet friendly and I am traveling with my two dogs. I am writing this review to give kudos to Beth, who worked the front desk during the evening shift. Beth was efficient, friendly, warm, knowledgeable. She is a fabulous representative of the brand, and quite frankly, the BEST front desk person I've dealt with at any IHG property. Breakfast at the hotel was quite good. The room was sufficient to my needs. It was clean and well appointed. Not sure why one signs a "contract" when having pets in the hotel because the contract isn't enforced. Room 123 left their yippy dog alone in the room and Beth kindly gave me ear plugs. Another room had 3 large dogs when the contract states the limit is two. I'm just not fond of unenforced mandates. Either have contracts with your guests or don't. I would stay at this particular hotel again should I have dogs with me when I travel.

I rented a king suite as nd it had separate rooms. Not sure about 2 queens but their website is pretty informative I checked they do have separate rooms with 2 beds at certain locations.
Look it up
