The Lincoln Train Museum is a must see stop on any visit to Gettysburg, PA. The town is steeped in historical significance thanks to those who "gave their last full measure of devotion" fighting for and against Lincoln's great hope and dreams for America that he honored with his Gettysburg Address in 1863. Owner John Fine gives entertaining, educational and very fitting tribute presentations especially for children, young and old! The displays of Lincoln's life and death, the Civil War uniforms, relics and other historical treasures are a journey into a past we all share, a past that speaks to us even today and tomorrow for those who will hear and listen. The model trains depicting Lincoln's time and travels are magical. The virtual train ride transports guests as well or better than any movie. I would suggest that Mr Fine consider revising the video portions of the History Hall and Train "Ride" using his own voice, personality and Lincoln-like demeanor! You cannot pass the gift shop without getting a souvenir for a child, a friend a grandma or grandpa. I only hope Mr Fine recruits some local college student history majors or post grads or volunteer docents who can help with the grueling schedule this lone ranger owner/operator maintains in the summer season! This historic treasure is worthy of year round exhibit!

Very informative and excellent collection of model trains. Just don't get yourself psyched up for a huge museum.

This is a nice place with a unique gift shop. It has several train layouts that are cool. They have many older O and S gage trains on display that are excellent. Why 2 stars? I think in the current political times it is incumbent that museums are not partial politically. The Lincoln train ride started off really good than clearly moved to message for folks to the right. I did not expect that. That's fine for many places but not Gettysburg. The owner seemed nice.

There are several trains to see. One huge one in the center working with 2 trains. Wonderful set up. Then they have one you go inside and sit while a hologram of Abraham Lincoln speaks. Really awesome. Learnt alot to.
