The worst!!!! Disgusting, unfriendly and unprofessional. Every time I call the union office i pay union dues for, I have to deal with the someone’s nasty attitude. the DC 37 disability department hangs up on me continually. It’s beyond frustrating to have to speak with anyone. Every day that I call They give me different information .if you need help, instead of assisting you, they discourage you more, who's protecting my rights,

Very disappointed with the service, I pay dues for no reason. getting dues from employee but working for employer. Corruption at its best. When I call to ask help/questions I am treated as passing a ball, feel as if we do not matter We are paying dues so that management can enjoy them life.

THE WORSTTT!!! Every time I call I have to deal with someone’s nasty attitude, getting hung up on or receiving conflicting information. It’s beyond frustrating to have to speak with anyone. Of course it’s not everyone but I’ve literally only had about two people that were polite and willing to help me with whatever I needed. It’s not right for the call center employees to take their frustrations out on people they’re supposed to be HELPING! Trash the entire staff and start all over 🙄 or pay/treat them better! Whatever the issue is, someone needs to FIX IT! If I could give this 0 stars I most definitely would.

Not EMPLOYEES but definitely EMPLOYER'S Union since it clearly and openly serves the City's interests, not the city workers. Corruption at its best.

Would likely need to reach out to many places to report his passing away and provide w/ original DC as proof. Idk about the union (i.e. these ppl here) but the nyc retirement systems (there are a few) ask for date of death and place of death, but reach out w/ ss# to see if he was a member of any.
No
They are the union, you would likely contact these ppl for health benefits, legal services etc. but you need to first find out which pension system you are a part of. NYSLERS (New York State & Local Employees Retirement Sys), NYCERS (New York City Employees Retirement Sys), BERS (Board of Education Retirement System), TRS (Teachers Retirement)...there are others also, maybe look on your pay stub for any abbreviations and then do a search for their contact number
Call they will mail it out to you.😊
Go in person
I would propose that you go through your Chapter and Local representatives. Itemize your requests and they can connect you with a representative from the proper unit within District Council 37 who should be able to respond to your concerns. Dr. Paul-Michael Kazas President Chapter 37, Local 375
Try calling DC37 first because they have "temporarily" moved out to 55 Water Street, MH due to long term renovations at 125 Barclay Street. Visit their website also for more information.
When you call ask for Dennis Dean the pension Guru of DC37 he got me back on track, I simply love him hopefully he hasn't retired yet. Good luck
DC 37 doesn't provide Personal Loans but a Credit Union such as MCU can provide you with low interest loans if you are a qualified DC 37 Union Member.
At least 10 years depending on your Tier and Qualified Retirement Age which is minimum 63 years old. Contact DC 37 directly with your data. Applies usually to Permanent, Civil Service Titled Employees.
You have to call dc 37 its every 2 years
Sorry, I don't work for DC 37. Maybe look for other dentist that accepts our plan
Why no one is answering????
Check with NYCERS and nyc.gov/deferredcomp for your earned pension, benefits and deferred compensation first, so that portion of your retirement is in order. Once done with that contact DC37 for your health insurance, prescriptions, etc. Look up your local and chapter in DC37's website for additional information. Don't forget to take advantage of their education fund. Enjoy your retirement!
Depends on the plan you are signed up for. Visit dc37.net for answers as well as phone numbers to call for more info.
I AGREE WITH DIANE LOEFFLER
You benefits coverage by the union should remain the same. I have friends who are retired and they all say it the same .
Make an appointment over the telephone. It's better in person. If not successful with DC37, go to NYCERS at Jay Street, Downtown Brooklyn, with all your applicable paperwork and identifications. On a few weekdays, they are open late until 7 PM: https://mynycers.nycers.org/MyNYCERS/ Be grateful to all of us here for helping you and say thank yous and click likes. Politeness goes a long way anywhere!
Yes call 212-815 7555w when to appointment
It means she is being brought up on charges by the Agency. This is the first step in the disciplinary process. Its usually a meeting with your supervisor or manager. That is unless she had already had step 1,2 and 3 with the supervisor. That is more serious and can lead to termination or just a lost of pay.
that is correct my mother retired after being there 39 years and that was in 2008. Call and ask.
If you worked in 2018, contact the agency where you worked. If Fed tax was deducted from pension, contact nycers.
That's strange, you should have gotten notices from the IRS and the NYS Dept. Of Taxation and Finance. DC 37 should be able to advise you at least point you in the right direction of a financial adviser. Remember they can garnish your pay check, (I think)you need to find out how much you owe in back taxes. online www.tax.ny.gov or phone 518 457 5434. You should have gotten a letter because you need your pin number. I hope this helps. Try 518 457 3280 and they will mail you a statement if your rights. For an informal protest call 518 457 6133. Good luck!
They are helpful in landlord disputes, not finding apartments.

The school nurse and the parent coordinator.
Call health and security At DC37
Very interesting question. Give "mels" a call, 212-815-1111 Municipal Employee Legal Services
Right around the corner. When you exit DC37, turn left and then turn left again at the corner. The bank is on Greenwich and Murray.
1, 2 or 3 subways to Chambers Street. It's a short walk.
