Our Dad has been at JDT twice, once at The Resort section and the most recent stay at The Renaissance. Staffing at both places has been phenomenal ...they paid very close attention to my Dad when he wasn't doing very well, and made the call to send him to the hospital at times when it was very much needed and could have gone unnoticed, BUT DIDN'T. My family & I are very grateful. He then ended up for a longer more intense stay, interupted by a few hospital visits, to become medically stable and to learn how to walk again...We became very involved with the staff and know them on a first name basis. Jamilla & Kat , both Social Workers, are a terrific resource for information and a source of stability, etc...they are always looking out for what is best for my Dad, even though it might not be what he wants. The health care team is truly amazing.....Sophia-head of nursing, Ritchie- head of PT, and Susan-head of dietary & nutrition. In a recent family meeting, they were aware of every detail of my Dad's condition & wellness plan that had been put in place...There are so many other names, I cannot recall at them moment, but we are very grateful to each and every one of these dedicated and skilled employees. Thanks to All, The Gnall family

Where do I begin. I have to say the my stay couldn't have been better in terms of care, effort and the excellent staff at Resorts. Howard Wolf: This man as the administrator of the Resorts, I must say is the best at what he does. On my second day I had an issue with the medication that was prescribed to me by the doctor. It was at the end of the day but, he took upon himself to meet with me and wanted to know what the issues were. He personally called the doctor and was able to change the meds based on that conversation. He also visited with me everyday until my discharge this past Sunday. He even stopped a meeting to see how I was progressing with my health. Again he is truly one of the best. Nursing Care: the nurse on first floor along with the aides were excellent. They responded to my needs in quick fashion and made sure that I was always comfortable. The nurses and aides on the 3rd floor were just as excellent as on the 1st floor, but one nurse stood out. Marcella "Merry" Clemente was extraordinary. She thought out of box and when things post physical therapy were giving me tremendous pain she came up with a plan to make sure that the pain was manageable. She really took care of me as if I was her own son. I can't thank her enough. In my opinion, she sets the standard that all nurse to strive to achieve. Physical Therapists: I'm thankful for these individuals to many to name but, they take their jobs seriously and care about patients recovery. They listen to you and plan the therapy based on that. Two therapist that really helped me both mentally and physically was Bill Pisani and Joseph the therapy evaluator. What good men they are and people there should be lucking to work with him. Cafeteria: I must thank them also to the extent that if there was something on the daily menu that i could eat. They would go out of their way to make something that I could eat and in certain cases provided double portions. Outstanding! In closing you can see that my stay at Resorts was excellent and helped with my recovery so when I came home I could function on my own. Regards, Anthony Rubino

My wife, Peggy, was a recent patient at JDT Resort and she found it to be a very positive experience. The entire staff: receptionist, doctors, nurses and aides were efficient, courteous and responsive to her needs and contributing to her progress

What a great rehab facility! From Social Services (Gemella) to the nursing staff (Tonya and Patty) to Physical and Occupational Therapy (Paulo and Suzanne) everyone was above par and hands on with my moms recovery! I highly recommend this rehab facility - very professional staff and more importantly, very kind. Pat in Recreation is constantly engaging the patients in fun activities. Also, the Atrium provides a serene place for family to visit. All in all, a beneficial place for my moms recovery.
