We enjoyed our meal here. Of course the views, and the building itself are amazingly beautiful - what a unique place! It was quite pricey, so not something we would do often, but great for a Valentine's Day special meal. Service was great, food was good (we had the Peppered Ribeye and hazelnut crusted halibut), pleasant experience.

Bottom line: Dinner exceeded expectations, and was far better than your except on forest service property. The host Matthew was very nice and found a way to make his dining room work with less staff, and our server Adrian was great. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and paired well with the half bottle of red we got off their very extensive menu. Great dinner overall.

The Cascade Dining Room was the only place open for dinner at Timberline Lodge. The dinning room is only open to hotel guests after 6PM and reservations are required. I did not make my reservation until later on the day and the only time available was 8PM. I had to wait for a few minutes for a table to clear and was seated at 8:10 PM. I reviewed the menu and noticed that and every entree was in the $30-$40 range. It was too late in the evening to eat anything heavy and decided on two appetizers. I ordered the soup of the day with bread and Alpine Ham. It was busy and it took over twenty minutes to receive my order. A corn and cream soup was served with crusty bread. I made an open face sandwich with the bread and ham. The soup was a little spicy and very thin. The ham had good taste and not too salty. I did not find much on the fine dining menu that suited me and the prices were expensive. The only other option for dinner might be at Wy'East, the day lodge bar. The Cascade Dining Room may suit some people with expensive upscale food, but you options are limited.

Four of us had dinner here. It was a very special occasion and family event. The dining room is beautiful, the service was excellent but the food wasn't equal to the views. The menu is very small, not much variety. The salmon was very good but the Ribeye was disappointing, very fatty and not really tender. The halibut cheeks were chewy, nature of the cut but they seemed very chewy and the sauce was just not very flavorful. The crusty artisan bread was outstanding. The prices are very high and I didn't feel the value was there.

Take out only and only open to hotel guests. Masks and distancing required.
The airport and lock in best rates on the net.
Reservations are ALWAYS a good idea, and on a holiday weekend, a must.
Confirmed with them today. Yes, make a reservation as soon as you can!
Why don't you call...
Regular hours/lunch. Will be ooening the Blue Ox though
Call them to make a reservation
Cascade only has valley view. Rams head bar as a better view of the mountain but only causal dining. Meadows have a restaurant called vertical that has slope side view but it will bit compare to timberline.
Usually they will give it to you, but you have to ask them. Call the restaurant.
