Made my very first visit here and had a blast !! Four hot air balloons had just taken off shortly after I arrived. It was quite a sight !! Then I enjoyed a visit to the cabin and read about its history. Took to the trails and had an awesome hike !!! Also took time to do some geocaching. Mine was the only vehicle in the parking lot, but a couple others pulled in as I was leaving. I'll try to make another visit in the spring!

Excellent hiking. Great trails. Easy enough for kids and adults alike. Lots of shady areas and some cool bridges.

Family friendly historical location with rich trails low and highland paths and many water features. Also several areas to set up shop and have a fire and do some grillinz. There is a restroom area near the cabin area in the SW part of the preserve. Very beautiful area.
