I was recommended to the Williamson Medical Center Outpatient Imaging center by the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee who is in the same medical network. This was for my daughter to have an MRI done quickly, so it was scheduled by the Bone and Joint which I appreciated. Williamson Medical Center charged more than DOUBLE what it cost everywhere else for the MRI. $1500 at their location, and I later found as low as $500 at other Imaging centers. Once I realized it, I spoke to Rhonda in billing, and she told me she is, "sorry, but I can't help you". I asked why it was twice as much, and she said "those other imaging centers are stand alone facilities". So I said, "Why does it cost less at the other places?" Rhonda went on and said "because they are not a part of a hospital". So essentially she told me, "We are more expensive, BECAUSE we are more expensive". THANKS Williamson Medical Center for taking advantage of a father trying to do the right thing for his daughter!!! I hope that $800-$1000 you overcharged me helps you continue to take advantage of people that are sick seeking medical care. If anyone would like a paper trail of the billing to see how they are happily taking advantage of their patients, please let me know. [email protected]
