Hugely popular, the Connecticut Garlic and Harvest Festival on the Bethlehem Fair Grounds was a fantastic event this year! I haven't been to it in a few years and it seems to have grown tremendously!! But even with it's added popularity, the organizers have everything down to a science. You are able to get in and out quickly, the parking is spacious and plentiful, and the variety of offerings and products are numerous. Not only is it a place to buy fine, handmade products, but there are carnival rides for both kids and adults! While garlic and garlic products are the main attractions of the festival, you will find many vendors selling their artisanal crafts and other food and food products. From pickles to fried Oreos, from wooden cutting boards to handmade jewelry, the selection will surely have appeal to everyone in some way. I would highly recommend attending the next Connecticut Garlic and Harvest Festival next October. You won't regret it!! 🙂👍

I enjoyed the festival but I'm looking for a specific vendor that was selling these adorable dog marionette puppets. If anyone knows the name of this vendor so I can purchase some items it would be appreciated.

NO pets allowed. Except for service dogs. It is strictly enforced. I've been going every year since it opened. I've seen a few people sneak dogs in and security does have them removed. Trust me it's for the best. I'm a dog lover with 4 dogs of my own one of which is a certified trained service dog. I don't even bring her. This place is crowded like sardines in a can. There is barely room to walk or stand and even on the shortest of a leash a dog would be stepped on or people would be tripping over it. It is wheelchair accessible, however, each vendor has an electrical wires across the walk path to a main electrical hub. Those plugs are covered by raised metal plates so people walking on them don't damage them. The metal plates are raised & a struggle for strollers or wheelchairs. I understand the necessity of protecting the wires, but it makes it hard for those who are disabled. I use a cane and sometimes rely on my wheelchair and it was hard for me to get over with my cane
