I came here one time during the winter right after it snowed heavily. Despite there being at least 11 inches of snow in the surrounding area, all of the snow surrounding the area of the trees truck was melted completely. It far too cold for the snow to melt.

It's a tree filled with mystery and urban legends from it being haunted to unconfirmed hangings. It's a cool stop if you're in the area. There's nothing else to see once you see the tree though. It's best to go in the fall you can tell which one it is because it stands out

Tbh, for being supposedly the most haunted places in nj, it was pretty dissappointing. There are way better spots where you can have thrills in nj. Not really that cool of a tree, some carvings and drawings from other people on it. Something intresting i found though was behind the tree in the forest type area. I saw someone throwing something over a tree, but when i went over there no one was there. So that part was a little sketchy. But the tree itself isn't too bad, would reccommened if your in a 40 minute radius of the tree, anywhere longer, its not worth your time.

My buddy took a piece of the bark and left it in his Jeep. A week later his plumbing broke in his house and now has sewage in the walls. The Jeep is parked less than 20' from the pipe.
Its rumored to be a tree people were hung from, so it's cursed and is said to bring bad luck/death if you mess with it.

It's said because a Farmer on that property killed his family and slaves were hung from the tree there are many stories and myths that they haunt the land and the tree.. Check Weird NJ ( the book) for more insight
Yes! There have been multiple sightings of a ghost truck for decades.
No, people were supposedly hung from its branches a long time ago.
All you have to do is just follow directions Google maps gives you you'll know you'd have when you see this real creepy tree
Haunted* am certain there are more. Try clinton rd in North Jersey, or east state penitentiary in philly
You hurt the tree, don't do that
Nothing
Lol the tree is a historic landmark so no cutting at this point
No idea but I went there by myself at about 9 at night with a full moon and clear skies and cold. And it was definitely creepy I took video and photos
I believe it's because it used to be used to hang people
Local legend and rumors have it that The Jersey Ku Klux Klan had a meeting place close by and it was used for hangings. Since then other strange and ghostly things are connected with people who have visited the tree. The tree and the surroundings now have changed drastically over the years but the tree has remained.
Yes
Bad luck with what, trying to cut the tree down? Don't do it.
