I volunteered here for a few months when I first moved to the area. It was a nice experience, learned a lot about the cat world in general. Then I ended up adopting an adult cat from here. I love her so much! I stopped volunteering after that since I started school back up again. A couple years later, I also adopted a kitten from SMAWL when they had their Saturday cat adoption events. Both experiences went well and I was given the right material and information to best care for my cats. I highly recommend adopting from them for those reasons and I love the fact that the cats roam free here with plenty of food, water, and toys! They do great work and I love it.

Very nice no-kill shelter. Before COVID, walk-in-weekends for cat petting/socializing. Family friendly.

The volunteers are excellent

They are caring for many cats awaiting permanent homes. Many different jobs available . email them your quals and interests. They are a great organization.
They have dogs as well, all of which are in wonderful foster homes until found a furrever home.
Yes they do. Call them first to arrange it if possible. Very sorry to hear about you having to give kitteh up.
You have to contact SMAWL the agency that runs the Cat Castle. They only take cats if they have space available
Thank you! I will go by Saturday.
I would go to the SMAWL website and get info for contacting them. They are there Saturdays and Sundays if you want to go in person
