That guy at the visa window, the egyptian, Akif or Atif, whatever his name is, the worst individual I have ever come across. I visited the embassy almost 7 times to get a hajj visa, he would always make up a story. Why do they hire such people?

Travel. It is right across the street from the embassy inside the parking garage. Saudi Embassy is not the place to go for visa assistance.

Just go to Atlantic Travel inside the garage across the embassy and let them take care of you. They charged me $185 for everything. Tell them you spoke to me.

No official procedure needed beside obtaining the Umrah visa. Although there are no official process for the Nikah in Masjid Al Harm, many visitors and expats do it informally without any problem, as long as the ceremony is not disruptive publicly, quiet. It's just that you can only officially register the ceremony once back in your home country if it's legal there. You can only apply for an Umrah visa via a licensed authorized travel agents (see embassy link under visa application for links to lisiting). Congrats and Good luck!
