Cassandra at the Boathouse was an exceptional server. Though there was an issue with one of the entrees, she promptly made sure there was a replacement on the way and was empathetic of the mistake. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The team made everything right and I would highly recommend Cassandra and the management at Boathouse! They made my birthday dinner very special.

Went here for their special Easter brunch buffet. It was around 1PM on Sunday. We didn’t have reservations so they said the wait time was about 1 hour. Luckily there was plenty of seating at the bar area so we sat there. Their brunch was tasty and plentiful. There was a table where they cut you slices of meat, and where they made you an omelette on the spot. Our servers were the bar tenders and they were fantastic. Mags was very friendly and helpful! She let us know that they had a dessert table which we almost missed. She answered all our questions and was really nice. The other bar staff also went out of their way to assist us. Had a lovely time.

This was my first time at this location and in general The Boarhouse doesn't disappoint! They have contactless ordering and everything is done through kiosk at your table from ordering to paying your bill. It's a pretty efficient system and very easy to use. For those less technologically inclined, your writer will take your order. My only gripe was that the manager was very selective in approaching tables and asking people how was their meal considering it was pretty empty that day for dinner.

This place was good. Love this new location. Been going to The Boathouse for a few years now, I’ve always gone to the Sunday Park location so I was excited to dine at the Short Pump location. Great atmosphere and the food was amazing! We started off with a dozen and a half oysters accompanied with really good Moscow mules, and vodka oyster shooters. Very nice way to start the evening. Our main course was just as good as the starters. The service was not bad, all the ordering is done with a QR code menu now which is different for me. Once you are seated you scan the code put in your name and then browse the menu and you add what you want to your cart and click order and that’s it. If you want anything else you just go back to your phone and add more to your tables cart and click order. You pretty much do everything your self. All our sever did was say hello, give us water and that was it didn’t see him much after. The QR code thing is cool, I like this idea however for my parents who are not tech savvy it would have been difficult for them to order if it was just them dining. Also due to this type of service we feel like our server wasn’t really around much. Since all ordering and stuff is all done by you on your phone. We didn’t even need to see our server to pay the bill it’s all done on your phone. Not much personal face to face human interaction with your server. Also Gratuity is also added to each table and no tipping is needed. Again cool idea for the servers to make money however again we feel that due to this “guaranteed” gratuity we feel like our server was not as attentive to our table and our needs, and was MIA a lot. I feel like when the servers have to actually work for the tips they are more in tune with the table and the guests needs, because the good service they provide depends on how well the dining experience we have is, and the tip. Our sever not once cleared our table and it was the hostess that did that. So other than that, everything’s else was good. Would most definitely come back here just hope the next time we do that our server shows a little more effort and is around more.

On 64w, where do we get off for boathouse?

If you're coming from the East and taking 64W, take the 178A exit towards Short Pump. It's in the mall itself, towards the "back" and the fastest way is to take the first turn into Short Pump Mall (the one right after Pump Rd) and follow the curve around. It's right next to the Hyatt. :)

We are taking Covid safety seriously, and are following all state guidelines around table distance, party sizes, mask wearing for staff and guests, and increased cleaning schedules. In addition, we are cleaning and sanitizing daily according to CDC protocols, taking staff temperature, and have adopted contactless mobile ordering and payment to reduce interpersonal contact. We invite you to come celebrate safely with us, or visit our webpage to order takeout!

No Desserts on online menu. Must have some good ones though.

Desserts vary by location and season. The few I have had over the years have been quite delicious.
