We scheduled a tour to come in and see the apartment today at 11:30. We received a call from Lilian at 11:20 while we were on our way stating that they would not have apartments for when we are looking to move in and the prices change daily (which we're aware of). She then proceeded to ask what price range we're looking for and we said 1800-2000, she then proceeds to tell us their 1 bedrooms start from the 1900s (which isn't a problem as it is closer to what we said). However, she kept pushing for us not to come in to see the apartment. Then we told her that we would see it next time. Then she called again to suggest that we apply for MPDU (moderately priced dwelling unit), not sure why she assumed we should qualify for that. We will be taking our business elsewhere. There are other great apartments in the area that will welcome us.

The community is very welcoming and quiet for the most part. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. It was also very pet friendly. The community is listed as smoke free but it isn’t. I am a non-smoker and my apartment was constantly filled with smoke that came in through the vents. The security is nonexistent. Homeless people had access to the building and would sleep in the stairwell and hallway on some of the floors. I moved after my one year lease was up because my overall experience was terrible. The issues range from things not being fixed properly to leaking gas in my apartment, to a mouse entering my apartment under my front door and dying right by my front door entrance. For a pet friendly building putting poison out to kill rodents is dangerous for ones pets if they were to eat said rodents. It became a nightmare to live there.

Upscale building, well maintained in downtown Silver Spring. We'll designed building for privacy, quiet, with docks for easy move in. There's several small issues: smell in the hallways and trash rooms that fill hallways, pet odors. Expensive parking (sperate co.), Only 2 of 3 elevators run at a time and minor maintenance issues but overall, responsive management, solid maintenance, good concierge service, elevator up time is good and rooftop views are great.
