Very cozy restaurant tucked away that belies the flavorful experience inside. Ethiopian food is one of my faves and this restaurant knows how to make it! Their chickpea stew (Shiro) is some of the best I've had and their sampler plate is a great place to start. Haven't had other Ethiopian place in Nashville yet, but this is a good one to have started with!

The absolute best Ethiopian food in Nashville! The meat is tender and marinated for hours . The vegetables are incredible. The spices make you want to hmmmm all the way through your meal. The owner is super friendly and genuinely seems to enjoy seeing her guests enjoy their food. Not enough stars for this place!

This was our second visit to Awash Ethiopian Restaurant. This time we brought more with us. Everything was so delicious. The beef was just right, the sides (greens, cabbage, and mashed lentils) all tasted great with the beef. We also had four well spiced chicken legs on the platter. Even the little one (10-year old) enjoyed the food.
