Trinidad Lake SP, is a great little park with great views. Some sites have full hookups, but for the rest we have 50 Amps, there is water in the area, mine was 225 feet away, lucky me I carry that much hose! Very quiet. It was during some rain storms that we visited so it’s a bit cloudy looking but nice park. There is a short 1 mile trail that will take you by the water and there is an 8 mile to and from trail that leaves the park area so there is plenty of opportunity for a nice hike from camp.

Quiet and scenic place to enjoy hiking, camping, fishing and more. Employees and visitor center were lovely and gave great advice. We did two hiking trails one of which warned it was steep. If your not an advanced hiker like myself I would recommend paying attention to those signs as I was very scared during that hike. The lake is also fun to sit by and watch the water and enjoy the views of the mountains. Trails are marked with certain sceneries you should see with a brochure detailing info of each scene.

Easily accessible with ample camping and parking for hikers, Trinidad Lake State Park was a welcome addition to our Southern Colorado stopover. Absolutely beautiful; every bit of it.

We stop here on our way northwest after a 10 hour drive. 4th visit I think. 25% occupied; were there on weekdays. Coin operated shower! Family bathrooms so we can shower together. Beautiful fishing lake. Sites in the upper 40s have great lake views.

It is not allowed in any CO state park...
Yes you are right ..trails good for the beginner and more experienced...personally i wish they had harder and longer trails
Yup unless your expecting something like daytona beach.
It's like $26 plus the $9 day pass per person. It's pricey but worth it at South Shore
They don't they are thieves you will not get your money back we had to leave due to a family emergency and did not get a refund although it fell under an acceptable category on their requirements 600 bucks down the drain
Yes there is overnight camping for rvs and tents. I camped in a tent at the south shore campground. The nightly fee plus day use fee is $28. I love South shore camping area. The spots are really spaced out a d overlook the lake. There is a bathroom and water spigot but no electricity or showers. There are showers elsewhere in the park but I could not find them. I also seen a bear so keep your food put away.
Yes
Look on the CPW website under boating regulations (I know a jet ski isn't a boat but that probably is the best place to look). Also try calling the park.
Just no swimming at the beach
The water level jumps around. There are places in the middle that are low. Not many boats out on the lake.
The best way is to go to the website. You will find available sites, prices and so on. There is also a number you can call to make a reservation. However it is only available during business hours.
Yes

No water at this STATE park !
$8.00 for a day pass $80.00 for an annual pass camp sites are$24 on the weekend and $36 for electrical hook up sites
I don't think so
They don't take the national Park pass. And you have to buy a day pass too on top of the camping fee.
$7.00/day per vehicle for the parking pass
As far as I know, there are no boat rentals. You can bring your own boat and put it out on the lake.
No designated swim areas so I would say no...
If it was a small wedding then yes. For sure call ahead to go over options
There is a bow and arrow station for practicing inside the park too look on the park map
I didn't see anything for horses.
Several of the campsites have full hookups, and there is water at the dump station.
Dropbbox by the door to office. If spot is reserved it is usually on the site post. Have always found an empty site with 30 amp and dump. If you have long enough hose you can fill water tank at most sites. If not fill your tank before you park!
It's large enough to jet ski and water ski on it's about a mile and a half long to a half a mile to a mile wide
We were there for about 3 hours and caught about 7. However, we released, because they weren't very big. 😕
