Our family, ages 14-80 years old, started our first full day in NYC with a tour led by Cliff and couldn't have had a better way for our trip to start. From the minute Cliff met us at our hotel, he was so personable and full of life. We learned more about the city then we could have ever imagined and yet he delivered all the information in such a fun way that even our two teenage boys were engaged the entire time (they only used their phones to take pictures which is definitely a rare and yet pleasant surprise). Cliff knows exactly where to go, enter, view etc. all parts of the city! When asked to make an obscure stop not planned in the day, he adjusted without hesitation as if it was part of the tour...truly amazing. We are so grateful for the most amazing, special experience for our family and the memories will never forget, thank you Cliff!!

10. Yes, Custom & Private New York Tours is owned and operated by Aline & Cliff Strome. Cliff is a lifelong resident of Manhattan and Aline has been living in New York City for over 25 years.
9. Groups are not combined because custom and private tours are designed to focus on the interests and wishes of one group only.
8. We have guides that speak English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Russian and Japanese are subject to availability. There is no additional charge for foreign language guides.
7. A chauffeured luxury vehicle, such as an Escalade or Mercedes Luxury Van accommodating the size of your group with a licensed NYC guide is $295 per hour for up to four guests. Five to twelve guests: $345 per hour. Groups up to 35 are $395 per hour via luxury mini-buses. There is no sales tax for private tours.
6. We have access to vehicles that transport electric mobility vehicles. We provide tours that do not require any walking whatsoever as well.
5. We request a credit card as your intent to appear at the time and place your tour begins according to your wishes. We do no use your credit card before your tour unless you do not notify us or show up for your tour we reserve the right to bill your credit card for one hour only to defray out expense to compensate the chauffeur and guide with something for their time and trouble. .
4. We have a four-hour minimum however you can extend the duration of your tour without prior notice.
3. At the time and place you wish in Manhattan. Pickups outside Manhattan are available however, there may be a surcharge depending on the distance.
2. Our guides are engaging, entertaining and informative experienced licensed NYC guides. All tours are conducted by a guide and chauffeur except walking tours.
1. Generally, we prefer to plan itineraries with our guests in advance. It’s best to have a plan that can even be altered during your tour if you wish.
