Came for the detailed long birth certificate. That I was not able to get at the other office. Was in and out in like 15 minutes. Was before my parking meter expired. The only thing is that they have a lot of homeless people outside and inside but than again it’s a Public place.

Went to go get my daughter's birth certificate and I was charged double because one word was off (city vs center. I understand there are no refunds but it was still the same county. The manager was very rude. The employee was going to wave the extra fee but she yelled "no charge them we give no refunds!!" People can be miserable for no reason there was a better way to handle the situation. I wanted to check out the library but I will never go back just because of her.

I have NO idea. Go IN PERSON to the Main downtown Public Library in Dallas, TX (first floor, by Ervay Street and Young Street) and ask them Yourself. They open Mondays to Fridays (i think at 8:00am?), they should have your answer there.

I would take cash they're systems were down and so a lot of people had to go get cash and or money orders just be prepared with cash you can't go wrong with that just in case

Id take long form, the li es are so long you dont want ant that to be the thing that keeps you from getting license. Also if you can get up early and get in line on the dps website before going, saves a lot of time. Or go when there about to close.

It doesn't take very long. I ordered one and it was delivered in less than a week. I live in Dallas, but USPS doesn't take a month to deliver to Vegas. Hope you have your receipt.

You need a long form certified copy. Despite what they say at the VSO, the best alternative is to order one from Austin online. The passport office needs one that is long form and certified which will indicate that you were born in a hospital or otherwise.

Yes, but it's the short version that will not work for passports. Make sure you only need a "short" version. The certified long form has to come from Austin.
