I decided not to rent at Truewood because the high prices fails to include swimming pool; fails to include washer and dryer in each unit; ugly view of the roof and interstate 635. They wanted to charge me $2300 per month for ugly view of the roof, with community laundry. As Honorably Discharged United States Disabled Army Veteran, Truewood failed to offer any reasonable military discount. Community laundry is very UNHEALTHY. Stay away from Truewood. A rip-off!

Stay far away! My mother moved in late August 2021 and ended up passing away early January 2022. She fell in her bathroom and no one came to check on her for hours! Matter of fact it was a family member that came to visit and found her. The aide brought her medicine up that morning and did not watch her take it; she left it on her counter and walked out all while my mom was laying in the floor of her bathroom with no way to get up or speak due to having a major stroke. When we viewed the facility everyone was so nice and helpful and made it sound that there were so many activities for the residents but that is not the case at all. Matter of fact we had a conference call (followed up with detailed report) with the manager and assistant manager the week prior about the issues and even pointing out that my mothers call button did not work when she had fell previously. The ownership and Merrill knew about the neglect but because this type of facility is protected under state law from being held accountable, there is nothing that can be done. Also, all of this happened while under the new ownership.
