I purchased a pre-owned Volkswagen from Ted Britt Ford in Chantilly in 2016. Due to the vehicle having under 100,000 miles, it was eligible for a powertrain coverage called Ted Britt 4 Life (TB4L). In order to maintain the coverage, I was required to have the vehicle serviced at Ted Britt Ford vice a Volkswagen dealer. All was well until the engine gave out this past weekend, and due to the requirement to have the vehicle serviced there, I had it towed to Ted Britt Ford in Chantilly. The service department stated three technicians looked at it briefly and determined they could not service it, so the technician basically stated I needed to take it to a Volkswagen dealer, gave me a toll-free number for the TB4L coverage, and that was it. Furthermore, a mid-level manager was of no assistance, and the general manager has not returned my request for an appointment. I am now in the process of coordinating the second tow, repair, and coverage on my own because the vehicle is not a Ford or Lincoln, and it is crystal clear Ted Britt Ford is not interested in any type of customer service. This is quite possibly one of the worst customer service experiences I have had with any vehicle I have owned. To anyone who is thinking about purchasing a pre-owned vehicle (not Ford or Lincoln) from Ted Britt, do not be enticed by the TB4L banner they put on all their eligible used inventory as a sales gimmick, as you will be left doing all the work and coordinating all the efforts yourself, despite having followed all the required service actions at their dealer. Never again Ted Britt! Update as of 17 October 2022: After posting this review, the owner of the Ted Britt family of dealerships spoke with me regarding this issue and pledged to make it right. After a few days at a nearby Volkswagen dealer, the vehicle is now back at Ted Britt Ford undergoing repairs. The owner, the service manager, and the technician are all now involved to see my vehicle repaired under the TB4L coverage, and I am hopeful to have it back by the end of the month. I will post a final update to this review once I receive my vehicle back.

Got a appointment they I left the car on the service. No call came on the afternoon they did now that the car was on there parking waiting for service with a appointment. No work was done for the day and waist all day on that. Customer service is not one of there best skills.
