My husband recently had surgery and received a cochlear implant. Dr. Brian Peters was his surgeon and was very gracious before and after. He came to me after the operation and was so kind. He said everything went “perfectly “. And it did. A week later we had an appointment with Kristin King, Clinical Doctor of Audiology. She is amazing! She “activated “ the implant and was so knowledgeable and thorough in explaining the implant to us. We are so thankful to have had such a great experience at Dallas Ear Institute. We encountered many wonderful nurses, therapists, psychologists and others. We are forever grateful. Richard and Michelle Smith

Dr. Kristian King is the most competent medical professional I have ever worked with regarding my health. In December 2017, she activated my Cochlear Implant. During each appointment over the next 4 plus years I have left her office with my hearing improved. I have gone from about 14% hearing a conversation to over 80%. I can understanding on my cell phone about 95% of what is said. Dr. King has done justice to The Cochlear Implant system that I have implanted because of her knowledge of their hearing equipment, and the computer skills to make hearing adjustments to maximize my hearing devices. She has done justice to herself because she is current in the skills to maximize the hearing devices. She has done justice to me because she listens, ask questions, and wants me to get the best results from my system of hearing devices, to maximize my hearing improvement with each appointment. She helped move me from disengaging in conversations in a group setting, in cars, and on the phone to being fully engaged hearing sounds that I have not heard since 1976. At 81, I am very fortunate to have Dr. King as my audiologist. Kent Darwin

All of the reviews I've read concern hearing loss only. My huge problem is tinnitus that seems to be getting louder as I age. Is The Hearing Center the best place to seek help for this problem? It's literally driving me insane...

We can definitely schedule you for an evaluation with our physician to find out more about your tinnitus. Your evaluation will include a full assessment as to the type of tinnitus you suffer from and possible factors that may be contributing to your tinnitus. Simple causes of tinnitus will be ruled out and your hearing will be assessed to check for this association with your tinnitus. Our professionals work together to give you a complete, coordinated approach to your problems. All possible causes of your tinnitus and all options for treatment will be considered during your evaluation.
