Such a cute little pharmacy! The staff are so friendly and eager to help! I felt hopeless after looking up the cost of my medication online, but before I could even call the store, they reached out to let me know that my medicine was not just ready, but they went out of their way to find a coupon for me that made it MUCH!!!!!! more affordable! Such a caring team, HIGHLY recommend them for managing your prescriptions. They can even package them for you to help you remember to take them...AT NO EXTRA COST and deliver for free! Happy to give my business to a local pharmacy, but finding one managed by part of MY local community here in Oak Lawn/Cedar springs leaves me jubilant! THANK YOU DR GATZ!!!

Questions & Answers

What is the difference between a brand name and a generic medication?

Oak Lawn Pharmacy | Oct 18, 2020
Oak Lawn Pharmacy | Oct 18, 2020

When a medication is first developed, the manufacturer has patent rights on the formula and/or compound. Once this patent right expires, other companies can produce generic versions of the drug that meet the same FDA requirements and regulations as the brand name drug. Most insurance companies require generic substitutions unless specifically requested by the prescriber or patient.
