Made appt online and checked in online. Only waited about 15-20 minutes in the lobby before being called back. Was assisted by a very nice lady who was able to help me get everything I needed, and she even gave me addresses to other places for the items she could not help with there. Very good experience at a DMV for once!!!

My mother and I drove 2 1/2 hours to get a first time driver’s license, and we were nervous due to the reviews from other DPS offices. It was an amazing experience, we were in & out. The employees were super friendly and helpful. Wished all the DPS offices had employees like theirs.

The online scheduling is awesome. I definitely advise filling the forms out before showing up to take with you. Staff was friendly & helpful. Good experience for a DMV visit.

The worst experience I’ve ever had at the DMV. I was called up relatively fast and most of the employees were nice except for the one that helped me renew license booth 3 on the far left. She was extremely rude and criticized me for not being able to hear her behind the MASSIVE glass wall between us. She talked to me very unprofessional the entire time and justified her actions by saying that she was from New York. No one should be treated that way and saying you are from New York is the dumbest excuse I’ve ever heard.

I did this as a student so yes. My "home" address was still listed as my parent's address in another city but I renewed it at this location.
You can go to DPS & wait. When I went two Wednesdays ago, I got there about 7:45am, there was a line of about 10 ppl already. They're strict about maintaining social distancing. There was a line on the ramp (scheduled appts), & a line at the stairs (no appt). I dont know about now bc I've read somewhere they make you wait in your vehicle now (this was a few days after I went to renew my DL). If you don't mind waiting you could possibly get business taken care of if you bring all required documents. I waited a good 3-3.5 hrs. Hope that helps some.
The point is to see you at all.
I tried for over two months to speak with someone on the phone in Austin and here locally in Bryan, Texas and was not able to. I had to arrange an appointment. You can call your local office early in the day and follow the phone menu and maybe someone will pickup if they aren't slammed. Do what you need to do asap, it is very possible they may close again, soon. Gluck. Btw, they are actively keeping up with their website.
https://public.txdpsscheduler.com/ Go to this link first to sceduale an appointment. They will not let you do anything unless you have an appointment. Also, once you set that, there should be a page telling you all of the paperwork you need to have to do so.
Just go there they will renew it make sure you have all your documents
Online...
Not if you do it online. https://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/OnlineServices.htm
7:20. There will be people there before it opens
It depends on what you're doing. TAMU bus drivers don't require medcerts, but there is a lot of tests leading up to getting a class B.
Yes you can order one online but you must know all your numbers INCLUDING the DD# at the bottom
Your old expired license and you might need your birth certificate as well. If the address is different than the one non your old licence then you will need proof of your new address. A utility bill as an example. You can go online to the DPS Texas government site and renew your license on line.
Nope. Do it online.
Its hard to get anybody on the phone, your best bet is to make it online. But a couple weeks ago I went in without an appt and did one there.
You have to go to your local tax office where you register vehicles. It will be at that place every time.
I think it's like $33-36
If the car is in your name then you must get a Texas license plate before you can get a Texas DL. If the car is not titled in your name then you can get your Texas DL without Texas plate. However you must have 2 items that prove your residence I/E lease utility bill etc
No you do not please read below. If you are a Texas resident applying for a driver license for the first-time and are not surrendering an out-of-state driver license, you are only required to present proof of insurance for each vehicle you own. *If you do not own a vehicle, you may sign a statement at the office affirming this.
No
Your name should be on the lease with the sublease name along with that you can provide if you have a bank account.
How you get there is up to you but you can go in by yourself. Remember you aren't supposed to drive without a license
They stop taking walk-in appointments at 4:30 PM
You have to make an appointment
Go online to the DPS website and make an appointment, and take all the documents they list on the website
You first need to get your vehicle inspected and take that inspection paper with you with your current insurance and registration to the Bryan tax office and you'll be having new tags in no time 🙂.
Yes. Also, in the past you have been allowed to use a rental car if you meet the age requirement to rent a car, are listed on the rental agreement as an authorized driver and can show that you have liability insurance that covers the rental car. You should go to dps.texas.gov for current information and other requirements.
Only by appointment. Login at Texas dmv with your lic# and other personal info. To make app.
They're supposed to open June 3rd.
It’s actually impossible. Avoid this DPS at all costs if possible
Yes, they should renew it then
Just go there with your birth certificate
Birth certificate, current I.D. it cost under 30 dollars.
Call them the phones still work
You would go to the Brazos County Tax Office, if you live in Brazos County
You can either do an appt online or just go up there & wait in line & take your test but it needs to be paid for up front. Good luck
No. You have to go to the office and wait in line just like everybody else.
I'd go back to let them know
Recommended and yes.
If you cannot renew online you may need to take your birth certificate or a passport to the office with you. https://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/OnlineServices.htm
Driving school.
The texas DPS website has a list of all documents needed as well as the 6 hr + 1 hr impact course requirements info. Moreover, it also has a list of all approved third parties that provide the 6 hour course and a certificate. Hope it helped. Best of luck!
Try to renew online first. https://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/OnlineServices.htm

A drivers permit for a 15 year old is 25
No
A check will not work. Look at this link. http://www.dps.texas.gov/internetforms/Forms/DL-15.pdf
No all government offices are closed
https://www.dps.texas.gov/administration/driver_licensing_control/rolodex/getinlineonline.htm
I believe so
Go the dps website and press driving licence...and there say driving test to do ur appointment
You can make an appointment only if you are going to give driving test. Otherwise just go there and collect proper ticket from the kiosk in there and wait for your turn and you will be served.
Police, where the incident happened or Sheriff office
Yes it really helps
I think it's $11.
The website says that they do, but cannot guarantee the opportunity to be able to get it for by the end of the day.
A court order.
What is the website to get it online
Two forms of address verification, such as your billing statements. Two forms of government ID like a security card and birth certificate.
